Isaiah Spiller dealing with injury, has mediocre NFL Combine showing
Texas A&M running back Isaiah Spiller Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports

Isaiah Spiller did not make much of a splash at the NFL Combine, but according to his agent, there is an explanation for that.

Spiller has been battling a strained abductor muscle, according to agent Rocky Arceneaux. The running back will take part in Texas A&M’s pro day in two weeks in a bid to ease concerns about his combine showing.

Spiller chose not to run the 40-yard dash at the combine, and his vertical and broad jump tests did not stand out. The consensus was that Spiller did not do himself any favors in his bid to be the first running back off the board in April’s draft.

Along with Kenneth Walker III and Breece Hall, Spiller is viewed as one of the best backs in the draft. He is coming off back-to-back 1,000-yard campaigns for the Aggies.
