If you were wondering just what to expect in Sunday's matchup between the 2-1 Philadelphia Eagles and the 0-4 Tampa Bay Bucs, the main question has been answered:
Donovan McNabb announced today he will be the starting QB for the Eagles, after a 4-week layoff for a rib-injury suffered at the hands of the Carolina Panthers in Game 1.
Perhaps equally important, the Bucs announced that Josh Johnson, their 2nd year QB at 6-2, 201, a 5th-round draft-pick out of U. of San Diego in 2008, will start for Tampa.
We know what McNabb means to the Philadelphia offense, so Sunday's match-up vs.Tampa will give us a real accurate glimpse as to what the Eagles plan to go with consistently on offense from here on out. Will we see more of a standard pro-set formation with a healthy McNabb at the helm, and less of the tricky "wild Eagle" or wildcat gimmicks? I think so.
