One day until the start of Eagles football!
The Eagles face the perennially awful Cleveland Browns Sunday at 1 to start their 2012 season. Even with the rust that will be a factor for the Birds with Mike Vick’s return to the playing field after a very few snaps in the preseason, with the many weapons on Philadelphia’s offense expect to see a high scoring game.
Head coach Andy Reid revealed that, as they do with their defensive line, the Eagles D will rotate linebackers.This is a surprise and possible concern because when MLB DeMeco Ryans was acquired, he was billed as an every down linebacker. Are the Eagles disappointed at Ryans’ preseason performance? Andy Reid and defensive coordinator Juan Castillo insist that that this is not the case and that the rotation of the linebacking corps is something the team tried with success in the latter half of 2011.
