The wait is over.
Regular season football officially returns tonight as the Dallas Cowboys and New York Giants faceoff and begin to write the next chapter of their storied rivalry. Al
BEST OF MAXIM
The NFL kicked off in dramatic rivalry fashion with the returning Superbowl Champion Giants taking on their NFC East foe Dallas Cowboys. Much maligned Quarterback Tony Romo came, saw and conquered while in MetLife Stadium as he threw for 307 yards including three TD’s and came up bigger than Eli in the 24-17 victory.

The Good, The Bad and The Ugly
Dallas 24 vs. New York 17
By Eric Judd @ericjuddTSHQ
I gotsta get paid!
Kevin Ogletree. Poor Miles Austin. Poor Dez Bryant. Kevin Ogletree made you look bad. Moreover, he made you an after-thought. The big names, with the big contracts, continue to get overshadowed by previously unknown 3rd receivers. Kevin Ogletree had...
The New York Giants are the returning Superbowl Champions. The last Champions to repeat were the Patriots. Can the Giants pull it off?
Philadelphia (11-5) Big things were expected of the Eagles and Vick last year. This year is no different. I think they pull things together this season.
New York Giants (8-8) I like the Giants. I really like Eli Manning...
Jerry Jones is filthy stinking rich. He is also something of an egomaniac. And when you put those two things together and toss in a few other character flaws — like enjoying the act of belittling people by making them perform menial, personal tasks — on top of egomania, you have evidence that the Dallas [...]
It took Eli Manning three quarters to get in sync with his wide receivers, but when it clicked it was working quite well. With just over six minutes left in the third quarter Eli Manning let a deep ball go to Dominick Hixon who was in double coverage but managed to time his jump better than the defenders and come down with a fantastic grab for a 39-yard gain. Hixon ended up...
The Dallas Cowboys waited all year for another shot at the New York Giants. When they got it in the 2012 season opener, they were ready.
So were the replacement officials, who barely were a story as Dallas dominated the Super Bowl champions for much of a 24-17 victory Wednesday night that wasn't nearly so close.
It won't make up for the New Year's Day loss that cost...
New York Giants running back Ahmad Bradshaw rushed for 78 yards and scored a touchdown Wednesday in the season opener.Fantasy Spin:Bradshaw handled 17 carries to David Wilson's two. Bradshaw is still a major part of the Giants offense and Wilson is going to have to wait to get his shot to take over, especially after he fumbled Wednesday.
The New York Giants begin their title defense tonight, and one of the biggest reasons they were able to win it all last year is Jason Pierre-Paul. The 3rd round beast of a defensive end terrorized offenses, specifically QBs in limited reps. He started in only 12 of the 16 games he played in, and [...]
Some opening day thoughts at the start of the 2012 season...
1) "I am a Jedi, like my father before me." Yes, the Force runs strong in Eli's family. Eli can sense pass rushers that he cannot even see. He has mastery of his weapons, including Cruz and Nicks. Add Bradshaw, Wilson and a healthy TE, and Eli can be lethal.
2) "Fear is the path to the Dark...
As the Dallas Cowboys beat the New York Giants to start off the 2012 NFL season, the replacement referees didn't do a terrible job of calling the action.
Nearing the end of the game, head referee Jim Core was calling a penalty against the Dallas Cowboys when he was ran into by New York Giants wide receiver Hakeem Nicks.
Watch as Core expresses his displeasure after...
SBD: Cowboys-Giants pulled a 16.5 overnight, down 4% from the Saints-Packers game last year. Dem Convention hurt, I'm sure.
