Hoops Heads North:
Los Angeles Clippers
Today, Super Bowl Sunday, the Raptors will play hosts to LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, the now Raptor fan-vilified Chris Bosh, and the Miami Heat. Once the two teams hit the court I expect the hospitality to end there. This marks the second of 2 straight BIG tests for the Toronto Raptors and their latest acquisition - Rudy Gay! Rudy's Toronto debut was nothing less than a show for Raptors fans, as the Raptors enjoyed a huge team effort against the Los Angeles Clippers, rolling past the Clippers with a 98-73 victory.
It's always difficult to see fan favourites like Jose Calderon & Ed Davis be moved to new teams, but that is part of the business side of the game. With the Raptors are well below .500, something had to change. When you have the opportunity to get an elite level player like Rudy Gay, you have to pursue it. The 8th seed in the Eastern Conference is wide open, especially with the Boston Celtics losing Rajon Rondo and Jared...

LeBron James shares the latest music issue cover of ESPN The Magazine with Dr. Dre, set to hit newsstands on February 18. Who doesn’t prepare for a game without some kind of music to get you amped? LeBron James shared his playlist with ESPN, and also joked that if Jay-Z wrote his lyrics and Dr. Dre produced the track, he would get in the studio.

TORONTO -- As he so often does, LeBron James took over Sunday's game late in the fourth quarter, and he did it in a variety of ways. His rebound and pass set up a big 3-pointer from the corner by Chris Bosh to put the Miami Heat ahead by seven points. Then James stole a pass by Toronto Raptors point guard Kyle Lowry and took it the other way for a driving dunk, putting the...
If the Dallas Cowboys were playing in the Super Bowl LeBron James would be willing to jeopardize missing one of his games to watch it.
That's what the Miami Heat superstar and Cowboys fan said last week when he discussed having to possibly miss all of this year's Super Bowl because of his NBA schedule.
"If the Cowboys were in the Super Bowl, I'd stay there for...
If he’s not worried then why justify it?

MIAMI LeBron James took his kids to school in the morning. Then he took the ball to the hoop at night.
James might have arrived home with his Miami Heat teammates at 3 a.m. Monday after a game and a Super Bowl party the day before in Toronto. But he was up a few hours later for fatherly duties.
While LeBron James Jr., 8, and Bryce Maximus James, 5, were in class, James went home...
I have a special place in my heart for the state of Ohio. I am not from there, but I did spend almost five years there during my time at The Ohio State University.
I understand their pain. Especially Browns, Indians, and Cavaliers fans. I know they feel Lebron James betrayed him, but just like any bad breakup it is time to move on.
You have a nice young squad and a superstar in a...
Tommy Hamilton is one of the better unsigned senior centers nationally. Here's a highlight reel of Hamilton at LeBron James Skills Academy.
The Miami Heat are now 0-5 against the Top 4 teams in the Eastern Conference (Knicks (0-2), Bulls (0-1), Pacers (0-2)) – and 0-2 to the Indiana Pacers, losing to them by a combined 23 points this season. Ray Allen was held scoreless for just the 2nd and 3rd time in his 17-year career in 2 contests vs. the Pacers this season – but LeBron James and the Heat don’t seem to be concerned...
TORONTO – LeBron James had 30 points, eight rebounds and seven assists to lead the Miami Heat to a 100-85 victory over the Toronto Raptors on Sunday before a crowd of 19,800 at Air Canada Centre.
