The Cleveland Browns need to part ways with receiver Mohamed Massaquoi. He has never lived up to all the hype he got from former team president Mike Holmgren. Massaquoi has never been the same guy since taking a hit to the head from Steelers line backer James Harrison. If you were to visit the official Browns web site you would find Mo-Mass on the Reserve/Injured list. He only played in 9 games last season and started just five of them. He caught just 17 balls for a  total of 254 yards during the 2012 season. Do the Browns really need a guy taking up a roster spot who isn’t going to produce? Especially as a wide receiver. The Team has to have dependable receivers if they ever expect to contend n the AFC North. You can’t have a guy who is not going to be a gamer. In the 2011 season he only 384 receiving yards. Some NFL play-makers get that amount in just 2 games. He hasn’t played all 16 games in the last 3 seasons, it is past time to get rid of him. The Browns have to focus in on som...

  • I have said it all year Massaquoi is a overrated, underachiever, from the very first day he put on a Browns' uniform. He's worthless! Bad hands, poor route recognition, if his number isn't called he makes no attempt to help in downfield blocking or if the QB is flushed from the pocket makes no attempt to get open even if he wasn't the primary/secondary receiver. Definitely afraid to take a hit over the middle. I would say trade him , but his worth wouldn't even warrant that unless you put him in a package deal.

A Guy In L.A. Takes Being A Browns Fan To A Whole New Level.

For one Browns fan he could care less about who the starting quarterback is, whether or not it is Brandon Weeden or Colt McCoy he is going to root for his Cleveland Browns from his living room  no matter how many games they win or lose. When the Browns left Cleveland and went to Baltimore he had a sick feeling in his stomach. Now that the team losses more games than they win, he...

Attack is the keyword for the Browns defense

Some day its the chicken, others the egg. So it goes with the Cleveland Browns' new defensive system, a chicken or egg question if ever there was one. Did the Browns adopt the new system because they hired coaches who believe in it, or did they choose the coaches because they believe in the Browns preferred system? CEO Joe Banner had a plain answer last week when he met the...

It’s J.R. Rickert, Cribbs Agent That Should Know The Tampering Rules, Not Josh.

Lets get one thing perfectly clear, it is Rickert’s that should know the tampering rules, Not Cribbs. Why do you think Cribbs has an agent in the first place? The first...

Josh Cribbs says his agent is meeting with several NFL teams, agent quickly denies it

It’s become abundantly clear that NFL players don’t quite have an understanding of NFL rules. Free agency start on March 12 and until that date players can’t begin negotiating with any other team but their own. If players were to meet with other teams, it would be considered tampering. But that didn’t stop Vontae Leach from tweeting that former teammate Sean Smith was negotiating...

2013 NFL Mock Draft: Cleveland Browns Pre-Draft Strategy

Season SummaryThe best way to sum up the Browns 2012 season is to copy and paste the season summary from any of the past five seasons. From 2008 through 2012, the Browns have won a total of 23 games. To you and me, that's an average of 4.6 wins/year and we all know there are 16 games in a full season, so you can do this math.Losses = 16 - 4.6, so losses equals 11.4. It's...

Alex Smith trade sets up the draft

Geno Smith will not be drafted by the Kansas City Chiefs unless their deal to bring Alex Smith to Arrowhead falls through. That move sets up a number of possibilities on draft day that revolve around quarterback needy teams. The Jacksonville Jaguars sit at number two overall, behind the Chiefs. Jacksonville is a quarterback needy team, but they've expressed that they'll...

In depth 2013: Cleveland Browns

Few teams are going through more change this offseason than the Cleveland Browns. … Again. NFL Rumor: Steve Breaston won’t sign with Browns, considering knee surgery

Silly season is obviously going on now. After visiting with the Cleveland Browns on Wednesday, there’s been a bit of a reversal in the Steve Breaston narrative. On Thursday and Friday, both the Plain Dealer’s Mary Kay Cabot and Elyria Chronicle-Telgram’s Scott Petrak respectively tweeted that the Browns would be unlikely to sign the free agent wide receiver. The 29-year-old...
