TEAMS: Jacksonville Jaguars, Atlanta Falcons, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
The Jaguars looked great last weekend, beating the hapless Tampa Bay Buccaneers 41-14. They will try to keep the momentum going tomorrow against the Falcons in Atlanta….and that’s not going to be easy. The Falcons have won three of their last four games and this is a game they need badly if they want to make the playoffs. Here is a look at the matchups in this game:
When the Jaguars have the ball: The Jaguars are going to come out running the ball with Maurice Jones-Drew (1,222 yards rushing) against a stout Falcons’ D that is allowing only 95.2 yards rushing per game and 3.9 yards per carry. The Jaguars started taking some shots down the field last weekend and that will likely continue as long as Blaine Gabbert has time to throw the ball. Gabbert will likely be aiming for TE Marcedes Lewis and Maurice-Jones Drew the most in the passing game tomorrow night. WRs Jarrett Dillard (21 rec, 211 yards, TD), Chastin West (8 rec, 88 yards) and Kassim Osgood (3 rec, ...

Has Blaine Gabbert Turned The Corner?
The development, or lack thereof, of Jacksonville Jaguars rookie quarterback Blaine Gabbert has been a very heated topic this season.
Some Jaguars fans have shown frustration with the lack of production from Gabbert and the Jaguars offense and have already started to shovel dirt on his career, while others are more willing to be patient with the development of the 22-year old signal...
Jaguars @ Falcons; Still Time To Make An Impact
The Jaguars want to get Maurice Jones-Drew in the endzone as often as possible. Hopefully, we'll be seeing more of this tonight.
Tonight the Jacksonville Jaguars visit their neighbor, the Atlanta Falcons. While the Jaguars are out of playoff contention, there's still time for them to make an impact on the NFL's playoff landscape. The Falcons are in the middle...
Gabbert may be bad enough to make Jaguars draft another QB
Blaine Gabbert is playing so badly right now that the Jaguars may consider something practically unheard of in the NFL: Taking Top 10 quarterbacks in back-to-back drafts. Gabbert’s horrible game in Thursday night’s loss to the Falcons has continued a horrible rookie season for the quarterback the Jaguars chose with the 10th overall pick in…

Week 15 Fantasy Football Preview: Jaguars vs Falcons
The Jaguars throttled Tampa Bay while the Falcons staged a furious comeback to win in Carolina.
After falling behind 14-0, the Jaguars outscored the Buccaneers 41-0 the rest of the way thanks to two defense/special teams scores and a phenomenal day from Maurice Jones-Drew. Blaine Gabbert continued to be little more than a caretaker, as he threw for 217 yards, 2 TDs and 2 INTs...
Weary Jags run out of gas in loss to Falcons
This certainly wasn't the way new Jacksonville Jaguars owner Shahid Khan wanted to be welcomed to the NFL. But if he'd spent any time at all watching his newly acquired team this season, he probably could have seen it coming from a mile away.
Playing in their third game in 11 days, the Jaguars never had a chance Thursday night on the road against the Atlanta Falcons, and...
Panthers secondary still an issue
At the beginning of the season, cornerback was considered one of the Panthers' most pressing needs.
But they never really filled that spot, much to the angst of their fan base. The only move of note was claiming Darius Butler off waivers from New England.
Butler has been the team's No. 3 cornerback for most of the season, but on Sunday was victimized for two touchdowns...
GAME STORY: Falcons dismantle Jaguars, 41-14
Jaguars QB Blaine Gabbert (11) has been sacked 4th-most in the NFL this season. Jason Getz / jgetz@ajc.com
This time, with the bright national TV lights shining on them, the Falcons didn’t mess around with a team holding a losing record.
After sleepwalking for a half against Carolina on the previous Sunday in a network game, they pounced on the lowly Jacksonville Jaguars and didn’t...
Falcons, Jaguars fantasy lineup calls
As I sat down to begin my rankings process for Week 15, it suddenly hit me. The weight of the world started to press upon my ample shoulders as I pondered the gravity of this week's games. For many members of our fantasy universe, the season has ended. Some of those people are relieved, as they can roll out of bed just a few minutes shy of kickoff on Sundays without pondering...
The Jaguars are having a miserable night
The Jaguars couldn’t even enjoy their biggest win of the season for long. Just four days after beating down the Bucs, the Jaguars are being reminded once again that they can’t compete with quality competition. Atlanta leads 34-0 just after halftime. Everything that could go wrong went from for the Jaguars. Blaine Gabbert had one…
