Jacksonville Jaguars (1-8) at Houston Texans (8-1) This week, when the Jacksonville Jaguars go to Houston to play the Texans it will be the latest a 1-win team has played a 1-loss team since 1990, when the Patriots played the Bills, also during week 11, How long ago was that? Well, here’s a clue. The Patriots were the 1-win team and the Bills were the 1-loss team. The Bills won 14-0, finished the season 13-3 and went on to lose their 1st of 4 straight Super Bowls. The Patriots did not win another game, finishing 1-15. The Texans are 15.5 point favorites here at home. I hate laying this many points in general and it seems that the public agrees with me because, even as miserable as Jacksonville is, there is pretty even action on this one. However, the Jaguars deserve to be dogs of this many. In fact, this line might not even be high enough. The Jaguars are absolutely horrible, especially without Maurice Jones-Drew, who was a massive part of their offense, and with Rashad Jennings ave...

Jags figure two Greg Jones are better than one

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) -- Greg Jones, meet Greg Jones. The Joneses crossed paths for the first time this week in Jacksonville's locker room, the veteran fullback nicknamed "The Bull" exchanging pleasantries with the second-year linebacker probably best known for proposing to his girlfriend on the field after the Super Bowl. The meeting was a little strange, and being...

Ex-Texans punter sues Houston stadium

Brett Hartmann, a former punter with the Houston Texans, is suing the owners of Houston's Reliant Stadium for negligence regarding an injury he suffered to his non-kicking leg late last season, his lawyer announced Thursday. Former punter is suing over ‘unsafe turf’

During the recent elections, one of the local measures on the ballot I filled out was for funding of a new athletic field that would have been constructed with field turf. I voted no. One of the reasons why is because I believe kids should play on grass because it is safer. Field turf is [...]

Blaine Gabbert is Probable

Jaguars QB Blaine Gabbert (shoulder) is probable for Week 11 against the Texans.Fantasy Spin:Gabbert left late in last Thursday's game against the Colts but we suspect it was more of a precautionary measure than something serious. As it stands, Gabbert will try to play the rest of the season with a torn labrum in his non-throwing shoulder. The Texans held a healthy Gabbert to...

HOUSTON (AP) -- Former Houston Texans punter Brett Hartmann has sued the county agency that operates Reliant Stadium, blaming "unsafe turf" for a possibly career-ending knee injury. Digging Deep: Chicago Edition

The Texans moved to 8-1, tying the Atlanta Falcons for the best record in the NFL, with their sloppy 13-6 win over the previously 7-1 Chicago Bears. While it was not a pretty game by any means, the Texans went into Chicago and beat the Bears outdoors in bad conditions. The statistics for this game may not look very impressive, but this game was more about toughness and making big...

Know Your Opponent With @ndyWillis

In this week’s episode, we check in with Twitter favorite and Jaguars fan everydude, Andy Willis. Andy is as diehard as diehards come. We have a Twitter bet for (apparently) every Texans/Jaguars (not Jags – seems they don’t like that) match-up. It’s an avatar wager and if I win, he gets this.           If he wins, I get… I don’t know. Does it matter? It seems...
