Marqise Lee was once looked at as a top notch NFL Draft prospect after a record breaking sophomore season at USC. Then injuries and inconsistent quarterback play happened, and Lee saw his stock fall dramatically.
The Jacksonville Jaguars used the 39th pick in the 2014 NFL Draft on Lee, but he’s already dealing with a minor injury. He jammed his wrist during OTAs this week and, for good reason, was frustrated. However, Lee told Yahoo! Sports that he’s fully healthy and recovered from his injuries.
“I am 100 percent now, and it feels good,” Lee said Friday night. “The wrist is fine. It hurt a little at first, but it was just one of those things. I can move it fine, and I am ready to go.”
When healthy, Lee proved he can be a dangerous weapon to any offense. He lacks elite top end speed, but impressed scouts with his route running abilities and hands throughout the draft process. For the Jaguars sake, he needs to stay healthy.
