The secondary-starved Jacksonville Jaguars have reached an agreement with two-time Super Bowl champion and cornerback Aaron Ross on a three-year contract worth up to $15.3 million.
The move negates the need for the Jaguars to pursue a top-tier corner in the upcoming 2012 NFL Draft and allow Jacksonville to focus on restoring its defensive line and receiving corps.
Selected 20th overall in the 2007 NFL Draft, Aaron Ross has amassed 200 combined tackles, 2.5 sacks and 10 interceptions (two returned for touchdowns) in five seasons with the New York Giants.

Ross started nine contests in his rookie year and racked up 42 tackles, three interceptions and 1.5 sacks. He collected 52 tackles and three interceptions in 15 starts in his sophomore season.
