Tim Tebow is Kakfaesque. Sort of.
Yes, the New England Patriots signing of Tebow Monday squeezed quarterback Mike Kafka out of the NFL. For one day. The Patriots released Kafka after signing him to a futures contract. And the team that most people Tebow would sign with, the Jacksonville Jaguars, are the franchise that picked up Mike Kafka.
Which means Mike Kafka, a former Northwestern and St. Rita (Chicago) star is now fighting to be QB3 in Jax.
This marks the fourth former Patriots player to be acquired by the Jaguars in recent weeks. Mike Kafka joins Kyle Love, Brandon Deaderick and Jeremy Ebert on Team Teal.
Also of note, the Cowboys reportedly put a claim in for Kafka’s services as well. A ringing endorsement of the former Northwestern star, for sure.
