Found November 22, 2011 on The Colts Authority:
Jacksonville has mired in medicrity (at best) since 1999 with few glimpses of "above average."  That doesn't stop Tania Ganguli of the Jacksonville Times-Union from accurately declaring the Colts' season a "debacle."  I guess it's better than reading about the Jaguars... Maybe they were too good, had too much success, won far too often. Maybe fate interceded, exposing the flaws that built during that time, the flaws Peyton Manning cloaked. Nine games into the season, the Colts, who face the Jaguars today, are a mess. They are the last winless team in the NFL. And many Colts players are experiencing something they never have before, something most NFL players do: a bad season.

The Two Year Rebuild

The 1997 Colts were the worst team in football. They lost the first 10 games of the year. The 1999 Colts were one of the best teams in football, winning 11 games in a row. What changed between 1997 and 1999? How did the Colts manage to turn over the whole roster to go from also-ran to contender in just two seasons? Surely, there must have been a major influx of talent that made...

Brandt: Take Luck

Andrew Brandt makes a great point regarding Andrew Luck:  if you'd spend any money on Kerry Collins then Andrew Luck is definitely worth the rookie dough he'll make regardless of the Colts' plans. Peyton Manning has a $28 million option bonus due in February and a $7 million salary in 2012. Whether the Colts exercise, renegotiate, or delay payments of that option...

Steelers, Ravens, Patriots Among AFC Contenders, But Conference Has No Clear-Cut Top Team

In recent years, the AFC has seen its share of teams dominate the league, making a case to be favorites coming into the postseason. In 2007 that label went to the Patriots after their remarkable regular season. The Titans were tops in 2008 behind Chris Johnson, who had a breakout year. Peyton Manning's Colts reigned supreme in '09, and for most of last year the Patriots were...

Andrew Luck Might Not Love Idea of Sitting Behind Peyton Manning, Could Force Pre-Draft Trade

Now that the Colts are in a one-team race for the services of Stanford quarterback Andrew Luck, it's worth wondering if Indianapolis is even an appealing destination for the certain No. 1 draft pick. Earlier this season, NFL Network reported there's some fear in the league that Luck could demand a trade to avoid playing for a particular team at the top of the draft board...
