New York Giants running back Brandon Jacobs has a fiery personality. We've seen it on the field
and now we're beginning to see it off the field. And while his occasional
comments about the opposing team have generally been taken with a grain of
salt, his frustrations over a rough start to the 2009 season have heavily
scrutinized and magnified.
Unfortunately, Jacobs recently made the situation that much
worse when he abruptly ended
and walked out of a Sports
Illustrated interview when he felt the reporter was looking for him to make
excuses.
"You're just looking for some (junk), aren't you?"
Jacobs said to a reporter after being asked how he thought he was the
tone-setter.
"Yes! I see myself as a tone-setter," Jacobs said.
"Yes, I do. I am going out and just running into people. I'm 6-4 and 265
pounds, doing what I am supposed to do, running into people to get a 2-yard
loss. Happy?"
With that, Jacobs was gone ...
