Pro Football Zone:
According to Steve Corkran of the Contra Costa Times, both Jacoby Ford and Denarius Moore are questionable for Monday night’s game against the Chargers.
“Projected starter Denarius Moore and key backup Ford are questionable for the Chargers game Monday night, putting Streater in line to start opposite Darrius Heyward-Bey,” wrote Corkran.
It looks like Ford might be a longshot to pllay this week since he indicated that everything is “up in the air” right now.
“Just kind of up in the air at this point,” Ford said, when asked if he thinks he can play Monday night per Cookran. “I just have to see what the coaches and the training staff think.”
“Ford said he is awaiting word from one of the Raiders doctors. The Raiders no doubt are taking the cautious approach, given Ford suffered a similar injury to the same spot on the same foot last season,” Corkran wrote.
“Last time, it took awhile,” Ford said.
The last thing the Raiders need is for Ford to miss a bunch of games early in the season.

The Raiders are famous for bringing in players that were fired from other teams and allowing them to become Raider Legends. The Oakland Raiders just had a knack of bringing in players that everyone else hated and turning them into instant contributors with even some of them Hall of Famers. Willie Brown, John Matuszack, Todd Christensen, George Blanda and Jim Plunkett all had great...
As first reported by Derek Hagan, himself, the wide receiver is returning to the Oakland Raiders for his second stint with the team in as many years. You might remember Hagan as the most reliable possession receiver in the Raiders’ wide receiver corps at the time. Now I have officially signed back with DA Raiders!!!!! [...]
The Oakland Raiders signed cornerback Joselio Hanson and in a bit of a surprise move waived training camp stand out cornerback DeMarcus Van ****. Van **** started off the 2012 training camp with lots of buzz, but was unable to translate his practice play to games.
Hanson played six seasons with the Philadelphia Eagles after playing one season with the San Francisco 49ers. He...
As Monday night approaches we know that Raiders QB Carson Palmer will drop back to pass a number of times. What is less clear is who will be available to be the targets of those passes and how well they'll do.The team came into training camp with receiver an overstocked position, but with questions as to the quality of the receiving corps. The corps responded with some great...
This week Oakland Raiders have to go up against the San Diego Chargers and are having a very bad time at wide receiver. Almost all the Raiders receivers have been banged up this week, with Denarius Moore their number 1 receiver not even practicing yet. In yesterdays’ practice fellow rookie Juron Criner was injured and both Jacoby Ford and Darrius Heyward-Bey have both been injured...
According to Adam Caplan of TheSidelineView.com, the Oakland Raiders have signed former Eagle CB Joselio Hanson. Also, Pro Football Talk is reporting that the Raiders will part ways with DeMarcus Van **** in order to make room for him. The news of Hanson’s signing is not any kind of surprise. The Raiders were almost immediately [...]
In the wake of the signing of CB Joselio Hanson and the subsequent waiver of CB DeMarcus Van ****, there is a lot of speculation about the squad of defensive backs. As was pointed out earlier today by someone on Twitter, the Raiders have turned over their cornerback squad completely with the waiving of DVD - no DB from last year's squad is on the team now.The team is still...
The Oakland Raiders have signed recently released cornerback Joselio Hanson to bolster their secondary.
Oakland released 2011 third-round pick DeMarcus Van **** on Monday to make room for Hanson on the roster. Hanson had been released last week by Philadelphia after spending six seasons as the Eagles nickel cornerback.
The Raiders have now cut ties to both cornerbacks they drafted...
The big day is here. Opening night. Real football. Even though the Oakland Raiders don’t play until Monday. After we wet our appetites with the Giants vs. Cowboys, we’ll then have to wait until Sunday and Monday for the main course. The 53-man rosters are set. There are no real surprises in the AFC West [...]
There is no question that this Raiders team is now Reggie McKenzie’s. There has been a complete overhaul, and that continued today as the team brought in Veteran cornerback Joselio Hansen and waived last years third round pick CB Demarcus Van ****.
Hansen is a seven year veteran, spending his last six seasons with the Philadelphia Eagles. He’s played in 104 games and brings a...
With all due and proper respect to the late Al Davis, Raiders coach Dennis Allen and general manager Reggie McKenzie have done things their way. The Raiders needed to be upgraded and modernized and the organizational infrastructure rebuilt. Davis served as his own general manager and director of college and pro scouting. He had a hand in defensive scheme and philosophy and still...
The Raiders continued to address their secondary by signing cornerback Joselio Hanson to a contract, today. Hanson had visited with the team yesterday. The team is likely to use Hanson as a slot corner with him working as the third corner behind Ron Bartell & Shawntae Spencer. Hanson used used as a slot corner in Philadelphia & was successful in that role. His release...
