Found February 19, 2013 on Down and Distance:
The Baltimore Ravens’ Super Bowl run this year was highlighted by Ray Lewis’ swan song and Joe Flacco’s rise to prominence, but receiver Jacoby Jones was without a doubt the team’s unsung hero of the playoffs. Jones provided three scintillating touchdowns that keyed the Ravens’ run: a 70-yard bomb to force overtime against Denver, a great 56-yard catch and run in the Super Bowl’s second quarter, and an incredible 108-yard kickoff return to open the Super Bowl’s second half. Anyone that had the kind of postseason that Jones had would want to hold on to those memories forever. Apparently, Jones has put the memory on his back with a new tattoo. It includes the Ravens team logo with the Lombardi Trophy and “Super Bowl XLVII” with the Superdome in the background. (Credit: digital_12 Instagram) Jones might not ever get an opportunity to have the kind of run that he had with the Ravens this postseason, so no one can blame him for commemorating the occasion. Assuming the Ravens retain Anquan Boldin, Jones will continue to fill his modest roles on the Ravens in 2013, playing as the slot receiver and return man.
