Pro Bowl kick returner Jacoby Jones is being activated from the non-football injury list and is cleared to practice today after passing the Ravens' mandatory conditioning test according to a source with knowledge of the situation. Jones didn't pass it on the initial try upon reporting to training camp but he is now cleared to practice. The Ravens require players when reporting to training camp to make a series of interval runs in assigned times before they're allowed to practice. Ravens coach John Harbaugh had predicted that Jones would pass the test quickly. "I would be very surprised if he isn't" Harbaugh said. "He's really close on it." Meanwhile the Ravens placed safety Anthony Levine on the active physically unable to perform list. Jones missed a week of organized team activities and the offseason conditioning program to participate in the "Dancing With the Stars" competition where he finished third. Harbaugh wasn't in...

The Ravens Super Bowl victory doesn't mean anything in the 2013-2014 season. NFL predictions 2.0.

The Ravens won the Super Bowl last year.  Great job by them.  What does that mean for this season?  Absolutely nothing.  How will Flacco respond at the leader?  What will the offense look like without Boldin?  Who is leading the defense?  All questions that need to be answered. Have they done enough to make a run this year?  This is my second pass through my database predicting...

Offensive tackle Bryant McKinnie has joined his Baltimore Ravens teammates on the field after missing the first day of training camp for being overweight. McKinnie was held out of Thursday's session by coach John Harbaugh, who said the left tackle was ''in good shape'' but too heavy to practice. The Ravens didn't say how much weight the 6-foot-8, 360-pounder...

The Ravens and Joe Flacco won the Super Bowl last year.  Many people, including me, were very hard on Flacco all season and expected him to fall short.  I'll give him credit, he did not fall apart.  But, can he do it for an entire season?  I look at his completion percentage and 3rd down conversion and question his ability to be elite.  This is clearly his team now, it&...

Next up to try to end the back-to-back drought are the Baltimore Ravens, who are facing high expectations despite losing some key players over the offseason. Still...
