60 Max Power O:
The New York Giants will be relatively healthy this Sunday as they prepare to take the field against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Although the Steelers have yet to release their final injury report, the Giants look to be in good shape this weekend, save for a few injuries to the linebacker core.
Without further delay, here is Big Blue's final injury report of the week.
Chase Blackburn (Hamstring)
Jacquian Williams (Knee)
Keith Rivers (Calf)
Kenny Phillips (Knee)
Ahmad Bradshaw (Foot)
Bear Pascoe (Ankle)
Although the Week nine injury report is miniscule compared to that of past weeks, the Giants linebacker core has been hit hard with a few key injuries. With Rivers most likely out and Jacquian Williams' continued absence, Big Blue will be without two of its most athletic linebackers in Week nine. This could become an issue in the passing game over the middle the field.
The Giants will surely try to use their three-safety look to make up for their lack of depth at linebacker. With Kenny Phillips' return, Big Blue can now get creative with how they use their safeties. Steelers running back Jonathon Dwyer will not play this week, so the Giants can probably afford to line up Kenny Phillips around the line of scrimmage without sacrificing run support. Not only would this help the Giants disguise their coverages, but it could make for more exotic blitz packages.

Running back Ahmad Bradshaw is active for Week 9 vs. Pittsburgh.
Bradshaw was listed as questionable while nursing his ailing foot through the week, but was never in real jeopardy of missing todays contest.
New York Giants running back Ahmad Bradshaw was held out of practice on Friday. You have to wonder if he’ll play in Sunday’s game against the Steelers.
I get a feeling Bradshaw will play, but I’m sure Andre Brown and David Wilson could get a few more touches.

Even though safety Stevie Brown has been playing great this season, it looks like he’ll have to give up his starting job with Kenny Phillips now getting healthy.
Phillips told the media today that he’ll be ready to go for Sunday’s game against the Steelers.
I expect Brown to start this week since the Giants will likely gradually bring Phillips back in the fold.
Stevie Brown has not only taken Kenny Phillips' job at safety with the New York Giants, he's given defensive coordinator Perry Fewell his three-safety defense again.
Fewell used Phillips, Antrel Rolle and Deon Grant in a safety package much of last season as a way to improve pass coverage while not losing anything against the run. But when the Giants failed to re-sign Grant...
