Found January 08, 2013 on My Sports Rumors:
If the Jacksonville Jaguars do indeed hire David Caldwell as their next general manager does that mean head coach Mike Mularkey is on the way out? Jason LaCanfora of CBS Sports tweeted today that is will be a possibility. After Mularkey’s time with the Atlanta Falcons it wouldn’t be a surprise. Jags very likely to announce they are parting way with coach Mike Mularkey this week, with the GM search over. Still hear Greg Roman — Jason La Canfora (@JasonLaCanfora) January 8, 2013 There’s reports that Mularkey and Caldwell didn’t get along to well in Atlanta. So if that’s the case I can’t see David keeping Mike around. Pete Prisco also of CBS Sports thinks that Caldwell will follow the Thomas Dimitroff model that brought success to the Falcons. Think Atlanta model in Jax now — Dimitroff and Smith side-by-side growing together. Caldwell needs that kind of coach. Young, riser. — Pete Prisco (@PriscoCBS) January 8, 2013 addthis_url = '

It appears the Jacksonville Jaguars have found the GM they have been looking for since parting ways with former GM Gene Smith. Atlanta Falcons Director of Player Personnel, Dave Caldwell, appears to be the choice of Shad Khan, Jacksonville’s owner. In what has been a thorough, yet quick search, the Jaguars have what on the outside seems like a very qualified candidate. Caldwell...

Greg Roman could reportedly be the Jags next head coach

With the hiring of David Caldwell as their next general manager, the Jacksonville Jaguars might hire 49ers offensive coordinator Greg Roman as their next head coach. It certainly doesn’t look like  Mike Mularkey’s job is safe after only one season.  It isn’t fair, but the NFL is pretty cut throat.   Need NFL Tickets? var _CI = _CI || {}; (function() { var script = document...
