Found January 08, 2013 on My Sports Rumors:
If the Jacksonville Jaguars do indeed hire David Caldwell as their next general manager does that mean head coach Mike Mularkey is on the way out? Jason LaCanfora of CBS Sports tweeted today that is will be a possibility. After Mularkey’s time with the Atlanta Falcons it wouldn’t be a surprise. Jags very likely to announce they are parting way with coach Mike Mularkey this week, with the GM search over. Still hear Greg Roman — Jason La Canfora (@JasonLaCanfora) January 8, 2013 There’s reports that Mularkey and Caldwell didn’t get along to well in Atlanta. So if that’s the case I can’t see David keeping Mike around. Pete Prisco also of CBS Sports thinks that Caldwell will follow the Thomas Dimitroff model that brought success to the Falcons. Think Atlanta model in Jax now — Dimitroff and Smith side-by-side growing together. Caldwell needs that kind of coach.
