Found February 18, 2013 on NFL Trade Rumors:
Mike Klis of the Denver Post writes that the Denver could target Jaguars DT Terrance Knighton in free agency. There’s no question that the Broncos have to get younger on their interior defensive line. Justin Bannan and Kevin Vickerson both will be unrestricted free agents and Broncos defensive coordinator Jack Del Rio spent time with Knighton in Jacksonville, so there’s an obvious connection to be made here. Knighton, 26, put together a respectable season for the Jaguars in 2012. He offers great size and should some ability to provide pressure up the middle. He also figures to be a decent value on the open market. We have Knighton currently listed as the No. 72 best available player in our Top 100 Free Agents list. Buzz: Will Broncos cut RB Knowshon Moreno?

Straight out of the rumor mill comes word that the Denver Broncos may part ways with 25 year old running back Knowshon Moreno this spring. “Moreno, the 12th pick of the 2009 draft, may be a former Bronco before long. Moreno never has performed up to where he was chosen in the draft, and he has a cap number of $3.28 million in 2013. “Moreno impressed coaches in 2012 by coming...

The Denver Broncos may have Peyton Manning, but they still need some help on the offensive side of the ball; to make that Manning led offense even better in 2013. Let’s examine the players available to fill the Denver Broncos 2013 offensive draft needs with the 28th pick and beyond. The Broncos needs in order include OT, RB, TE depth and WR depth. Ryan Clady is the biggest re-signing...

Klis: Irving, Johnson will compete for MLB gig

(Photo by Justin Edmonds/Getty Images) The Denver Broncos will probably have a new starting middle linebacker this season, but the team may not have to go far to find him. “The Broncos won’t be looking for a middle linebacker, even though Keith Brooking is a free agent and Joe Mays is coming off a season-ending injury. The plan is for Nate Irving and Steve Johnson to compete...

Ryan Clady doesn't like the franchise tag, but he understands

The Denver Broncos and tackle Ryan Clady are still trying to iron out a long term deal, but if the two sides can't agree, Clady will be tagged. He doesn't like the tag, but he does understand it, he told Josina Anderson of ESPN. "I don't think it's a sign of disrespect. I just think it's kind of part of the business. Am I okay with it? No. But it'...

Broncos reportedly won’t be looking for a middle linebacker this offseason

According to the Denver Post, the Broncos will not look to add a middle linebacker this offseason even though Keith Brooking is slated to hit free agency Joe Mays is coming off a season-ending injury. The plan is for Nate Irving and Steve Johnson to compete for the starting job at that position, with Irving having the edge because of experience. Irving was Denver’s third-round...

Broncos may end up moving on from Knowshon Moreno

According to Dan Pompei of the National Football Post, the Denver Broncos may end up moving on from running back Knowshon Moreno since his career has been full of injuries and the inability to hold on to the football. Knowshon Moreno, the 12th pick of the 2009 draft, may be a former Bronco before long. Moreno never has performed up to where he was chosen in the draft, and he has...

Willis McGahee may end up getting released down the road

Mike Klis of the Denver Post believes running back Willis McGahee will be vulnerable to getting released this offseason after suffering a compression fracture in his right tibia this past season and the fact that he’s now 31 years-old. Age, injury and a $2.5 million salary in 2013 make McGahee vulnerable. The Broncos will shop for a running back. And I believe they will look first...

Ryan Clady told me his surgery on his rotator cuff tear "will be about a five to a six month process." — Josina Anderson (@JosinaAnderson) February 19, 2013 Clady expounded on his...

Knowshon Moreno Could Be On The Chopping Block

Dan Pompei of the National Football Post writes that current Broncos RB Knowshon Moreno is a candidate to be released in the coming days. Pompei points to the fact that Moreno has failed to live up to the expectations of being the 12th overall pick back in 2009. He has a cap figure of $3.28 million for next season, so there’s a chance that they could move on and look for a replacement...

Jaguars positional analysis: Offense

When a team finishes a season ranked 29th in total offense, 30th in rushing offense and 31st in third-down efficiency, there is little place to go but up. Such is the case with the Jacksonville Jaguars, who struggled mightily to put points on the board and victories in the win column in 2012. The drafts of recent years have reaped a handful of players who have already proven their...
