Nothing is going to keep Drew Nowak from the training camp gridiron.
Per the Associated Press, the Jaguars' second-year guard returned to practice on Sunday, hours after totaling his car in a wreck.
Nowak, 23, was driving to the team hotel on Saturday when another motorist ran a red light and smashed into the passenger side of his 2001 Mercedes-Benz. He says he "didn't really have any time to react. I just kind of tensed up and took it."
Both drivers were uninjured in the crash, save for a minor cut on Nowak's right elbow. It's a good thing he was alone, too.
"If somebody was sitting next to me, they might have gotten really hurt," Nowak said.
A 2012 undrafted free agent, Nowak spent his rookie year on injured reserve. Now healthy, he's vying for a backup spot along Jacksonville's offensive line.
