The Jaguars really don't anticipate holdout tailback Maurice Jones-Drew reporting to camp anytime soon. Things could change with one phone call, of course, but Jacksonville executives seem to be holding firm to their stance that they won't revisit a contract that has two seasons remaining on it. At least, not until MLD gets into camp. There's even been a bit of a whispering campaign that Jones-Drew, who led the NFL in rushing last season, has lost some of his quickness and explosiveness. For now, the Jaguars seem prepared to move forward with third-year veteran Rashad Jennings, who has three career starts and just 123 carries.

Report: Jones-Drew's holdout may last into September

Maurice Jones-Drew's holdout with the Jacksonville Jaguars probably will last through August, ESPN.com reported Thursday. Although Jaguars officials and Jones-Drew speak almost daily, there has been no progress in talks recently, and he may not return to the Jaguars until sometime in September, according to the report. Jones-Drew, the NFL's rushing leader last season...

Jaguars 32, Giants 31

The Jacksonville Jaguars' starting unit faded after a fast start. The New York Giants were the opposite, scoring on four consecutive series after being stopped on their opening drive. Eli Manning only played two series and produced three points before taking the rest of the night off in the Giants' 32-21 loss in both teams' preseason opener. New York (No. 3 in the AP...

Jaguars rally for 32-31 win over Giants

Jaguars 32, Giants 31. With AP Photos. Even if it's the preseason, the turnovers still bother New York Giants coach Tom Coughlin. The Giants had two fumbled punt returns in a 32-31 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars on Friday. Both came inside the 10-yard line and led to 10 points by the Jaguars. Jayron Hosley fumbled the first punt, dropping the kick at the 2-yard line with...

Video: Madden 13′s Top 10 RB’s in the NFL

The EA Sports rankings for the Top 10 RB’s in the NFL have been released and toping the list is Maurice Jones Drew, which is a bit of a surprise. MJD does have the skills to be ranked in the Top 10, but having him as the best back in the league is a little bit of a stretch. MJD usually doesn’t get a lot of hype because the Jacksonville Jaguars haven’t been relevant sine 2007...
