JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Jaguars coach Mike Mularkey is willing to risk his future on the right arm of quarterback Blaine Gabbert. With the Jaguars at 1-8, Mularkey needs some victories if he is going to keep his job. But he's sticking with Gabbert even though the quarterback has suffered a shoulder injury twice in the past four games, is running the worst offense in the league and threw a pick-six against the Indianapolis Colts in the fourth quarter of a 27-10 loss Thursday night. Mularkey rejected the notion of going to backup Chad Henne in an attempt to get a spark. He said Gabbert, who suffered an injury to his left non-throwing shoulder in Oakland and aggravated it against the Colts, will remain the starter as long as the doctors clear him to play. And with the weekend to rehab, Mularkey said he has no concern about him being ready to play against Houston a week from Sunday. He said the injury didn't appear serious enough to have another MRI. When Gabbert was a...

Gabbert completed 18 of 31 passes for 209 yards, with an interception...

21 NSFW ‘Frustrated Jaguars Fans Lobbing F-Bomb After Colts Loss’ Tweets

Blaine Gabbert, Mike Mularkey and the Jacksonville Jaguars have hit rock bottom. They’re 1-8 and just got spanked on prime-time 27-10 by the Colts…at home. Jaguars fans are at their wits end. Jaguars to stick with Blaine Gabbart

The Jacksonville Jaguars will continue to start Blaine Gabbert at the quarterback position. Head coach Mike Mularkey gave the second year quarterback a vote of confidence insisting that there would be “no drastic changes” for the team. The Jaguars are 1-8 this season. “Everybody’s responsible,” said Mularkey. “Everybody’s got to play better.” The Jaguars plan to give...

Fantasy Football NFL Injury News: Jacksonville Jaguars RB Maurice Jones-Drew Two Weeks From Return?

Out with a foot injury since the October 21 game against the Oakland Raiders, Jacksonville Jaguars running back Maurice Jones-Drew said that he may be only two weeks away from returning to game action. It was always thought that the injury to MJD would not be season ending, but for fantasy football owners who held on to the Jaguars’ best player or were fortunate to pick him up...

Jaguars had surge after Gabbert went down, maybe he is not their future?

Blaine Gabbert “hopes” to be ready for Week 11 against the Texans after leaving Thursday night’s game when he aggravated his shoulder injury.”I’m going to do my best and be ready to roll,” said Gabbert. Blueprint for a rebuild

Last night's game between the Indianapolis Colts and the Jacksonville Jaguars was one of the worst NFL games in my recent memory. The final score wasn't outrageous (27-10 in favor of the Colts), but the way the Jaguars lost was just ugly. At 1-8, the Jaguars are the worst team in the NFL, and their play has regressed so far this season. With so much going wrong, it appears...

Jaguar fans add a twist to the bags over their heads

The Jacksonville Jaguars are a bad football team, with no hope at all. They are a throwback to the Detroit Lions of a few years ago, and most notably, the New Orleans Saints of the 80s. They have adopted a … Continue reading →

Jaguars 3, Colts 17; halftime thoughts

At halftime, the Jaguars trail the Colts 3 to 17, and the big difference in the game hasn't been in respect to the two teams' quarterbacks. Blaine Gabbert has played well to this point, as has Andrew Luck. Both quarterbacks have similar numbers, but Andrew Luck has been helped more by the rest of his team than Gabbert has. It's at this point that I'd like...

Jacksonville Jaguars: Where do the Jaguars go from here

This picture dictates just how bad the season has gotten for the Jacksonville Jaguars and their fan base. At 1-8 there isn’t much else that could go wrong for this team, they lost their RB Maurice Jones-Drew 4 weeks ago with an ankle injury and he was the only player on this team worth watching. The Jaguars are now 2 years into the Blaine Gabbert experiment, and while his failures...

Indianapolis Colts at Jacksonville Jaguars Thursday Night Football

AP Photo/Darron Cummings Follow @Dan Vasta and like Gridiron Grit on Facebook Yes, the Colts are fighting like a legit AFC playoff contending team these days and nobody really saw this coming. Some may have seen Blaine Gabbert turn it over 16 times in 15 games last season, but he has taken a borderline turn for the worst this season with the Jaguars. Jacksonville has been trying...
