Fox Sports Florida:
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) -- The Jacksonville Jaguars have signed veteran tight end Maurice Stovall and released tight end Stephen Spach.
Stovall has played in 71 games with 11 starts after being selected in the third round of the 2006 draft by Tampa Bay. He has 52 receptions for 668 yards and three touchdowns. He spent five seasons with the Buccaneers before joining Detroit in 2011. He entered the NFL as a receiver before moving to tight end.
Spach spent nine days on Jacksonville's roster. He played Sunday against Houston.
The Jaguars also signed guard Austin Pasztor to the practice squad. Pasztor, a 6-foot-7, 308-pound Canadian, played college football at Virginia. He signed as a rookie free agent with Minnesota in May and was waived in late August.
BEST OF MAXIM
Houston, TX. For the 2012 Houston Texans, a trip to the playoffs will be simply not be good enough. An AFC South division title will not be good enough either. Going deep into the playoffs is also not going to make this season a success. Anything less than a trip to the Super Bowl, and winning it, will be a failure in the minds of the organization and their fans. Although this...

The Jacksonville Jaguars keep things pretty simple on defense.
They don't blitz often. They don't stunt a lot. They don't even really try to disguise coverages.
It works well when the unit is fully intact. But with several key injuries and depth issues all around, the defense's simplicity has led to susceptibility.
The Jaguars were burned in the final seconds of...
Last week: 28 (-2)
Remember when Blaine Gabbert looked like a functional quarterback? That was fun. Against Houston, Gabbert finished 7-19 for 53 yards, after leaving with an injury and in the middle of the 3rd quarter, he was averaging less than 1 yard per pass attempt. His pocket presence regressed as he was pressured on 8 of 23 drop backs, scrambling once, taking 3...
Yes, the headline pretty much summarizes this. We aren't sure what it is about Jacksonville and it's proclivity for really bad attempts at spoofing music videos, but this one was rough.
Jacksonville Jaguars owner Shad Khan (KHAN!) and a cast of others took turns appearing in a music video produced by Jacksonville radio station 97.9.
No, not this one:
Colts pass rushers should lick their chops: Blaine Gabbert expects to start on Sunday for the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Gabbert was pulled from Sunday's 27-7 loss to the Texans in the fourth quarter. It initially was unclear if it was due to his 7-of-19 passing performance or an injury. The Jaguars later confirmed it was the latter, initially saying it was a leg injury, but since...
Who knows at this point if the Shad Khan really cares about making the Jacksonville Jaguars a successful football franchise, but one thing is for sure, he loves being in the limelight. He has brought a ton of attention to himself since becoming the owner of the team, and remains to be seen if it [...]
Via: Leaving jail, (Chad) DeWick told Channel 4 that despite the night in jail and eating some bad food, he’d be willing to run onto the field during a game again. “The Jacksonville Jaguars were losing so and I figured I’d make it a little more entertaining,” said DeWick.
Jacksonville’s leading rusher on Sunday, Laurent Robinson, had 49 yards. As you can see in the Channel...
JACKSONVILLE, Fla.- The Texans easily defeated their division rival Jacksonville Jaguars by amassing 411 total yards via a franchise record 83 total plays. The Texans dominated offensively and defensively. The Jaguars were stuffed, managing only 117 total yards – 32 yards coming on one pass play. Gabbert was limited to a miserable 53 yards passing.
The Jaguars had no answers...
Jacksonville Jaguars (0-2) at Minnesota Vikings (1-1)
Before the season, I identified 5 overrated and 5 underrated teams, with the idea of betting on them (or against them) until they proved me wrong or the odds makers caught up. This served me well as I’m 10-4 this year on games involving those 10 teams (and one of those losses is because I abandoned shipped on the Bills after...
The Texans moved to 2-0 for the third season in a row, defeating the Jaguars 27-7. The Texans took a 10-0 lead in the first quarter and never looked back, cruising to a relatively easy victory over a division rival. This win is also their first step to a 6-0 sweep of the division, a feat that seems quite manageable after the first two weeks of the season.
