As we all know by now, Jacksonville Jaguars receiver Justin Blackmon was suspended this week for violating the NFL’s Policy and Program for Substances of Abuse, but that doesn't mean it's the end of the road for the 2nd-year player who has seen his share of off-field issues.
GM Dave Caldwell threw his support behind Blackmon earlier this week, and now head coach Gus Bradley is following suit.
“I told Justin I do trust him,” Bradley said, via the Florida Times-Union. “We both have to earn each other’s trust and I don’t want trust to be mistaken for being naïve.” He also says he's had quite a few conversations about the suspension with Blackmon. "He understands we’re disappointed in what took place... I really try to maintain my focus on making sure he has a clear vision of what we expect from him. We’ve had great conversations since this came out.”
As with all cases of substance abuse, the NFL isn't sharing details with the public about what substance he was banned for. Blackmon has yet to speak with the media about the suspension.

New coach, new uniforms, new draft picks, new hope.Welcome to the new look of the Jacksonville Jaguars. Does the newness of this team translate to more wins in the 2013 season? That remains to be seen. I have a sneaking suspicion that this will be a better franchise this year, but wins may be hard to come by. Four games against Houston and Indianapolis do not help this team.What...
