Jaguars, top pick Travon Walker agree to terms on rookie contract

The Jacksonville Jaguars and Travon Walker agreed to terms on his rookie contract, NFL Network's Mike Garafolo and Ian Rapoport reported.

The No. 1 overall draft pick's deal is worth $37.4 million, per Rapoport.

Per ESPN, Walker is the fourth rookie selected in the top 10 of this year's draft to ink his rookie deal. Aidan Hutchinson (No. 2 overall), Ahmad "Sauce" Gardner (No. 4) and Ikem "Ickey" Ekwonu (No. 6) also signed their rookie deals within two weeks of being drafted.

Walker is coming off of a monster college football career at Georgia that was capped off with a College Football Playoff victory over Alabama. He ended his 2021 campaign with 33 combined tackles, 7.5 tackles for losses, and a career-high six sacks.
