Jaguars head coach Mike Mularkey has not contacted All-Pro running back Maurice Jones-Drew, the NFL's leading rusher in 2011 who wants the team to address his contract. Jones-Drew asked the Jaguars to address his contract before the start of offseason workouts. Mularkey and general manager Gene Smith have taken -- and held -- the position that Jones-Drew should honor his current deal while the two sides work toward a more agreeable solution. "This is the side of the NFL that's just as real as Sunday," Jones-Drew said in June. The Jaguars can fine Jones-Drew $30,000 per day if he's not at training camp when it begins Thursday. Mularkey told the Florida Times-Union that Jones-Drew, like every player on the 90-man roster, signed the informational packet mailed from the Jaguars and knows when and where he's expected this week.
