Jacksonville Jaguars head coach Mike Mularkey indicated that he wouldn’t mind seeing quarterback Blaine Gabbert take off and run more this season.
“I think we need to see him run a little more. There were a couple of times in Baltimore that there were some holes there and we could have made some positive yards. Those are things I think we will get to, but as far as his ability to read defenses and throw in the right place, he has been very good. I think his accuracy has been better. I think a lot of that has to do with his balance in the pocket,’’ Mularkey said per the Florida Times Union.
Gabbert has certainly improved this offseason and if he’s able to use his athletic ability more, it would be something else opposing defenses would have to account for.

Jaguars TE Zach Miller Still On The Roster Bubble
The Jaguars have one more preseason game left before final cuts must be made Friday night. Veteran TE Zach Miller is one of the veteran players who will have to sweat it out until the final cuts are made.
It's an unexpected situation for Miller, who came into preseason feeling confident about being the team's backup tight end. His lack of durability is his biggest problem...
What the Jaguars should do with Maurice Jones-Drew

This is a mess. Maurice Jones-Drew wants a new contract from the Jacksonville Jaguars. Their brand new owner Shad Khan doesn’t want to give him a new contract. MJD has stayed away from training camp and the organization until he gets a new deal. I don’t want to get in to what is right and wrong. I can see both sides of the argument.
I’m more interested in what to do...
