Steelers inside linebacker James Farrior’s injury seems to be more intense then first reported.  Farrior is expected to miss a month with his calf injury.  Farrior is the teams defensive captain and is the guy calling the plays for the Steelers. Who replaces Farrior will be determined by whether or not Jason Worilds or James Harrison can play in the upcoming games.  If either one of them can play then Timmons will slide back into the middle.  If Timmons has to stay outside Stephenson Sylvester will fill the role. Farrior is an all time great Steeler.  He has been this teams leader for years.  Farrior has seemed to have lost a step though.  Without him on the field this week the Steelers held the Patriots to less then 200 yards passing.  Brady used to take advantage of Farrior when he played the Steelers.  This influx of youth and athleticism seems to have helped the Steelers in many areas.  Lets see if Sylvester can continue that trend if he gets the chance.

James Farrior Downgraded to Out vs Patriots

James Farrior has now been ruled out for the Steelers.  He is still suffering from a calf injury.  So which young guy starts today.  Will Timmons move back inside and Rookie Chris Carter get the start on the outside or will Stephenson Sylvester get his first start at inside linebacker.  Or, Maybe the Steelers will go with my idea and put Polamalu in the middle. Highly unlikely...

The Terrible Podcast – Ravens Beat Writer John Eisenberg Episode

Season 2, Episode 38 of The Terrible Podcast is up and David Todd and I jump right into the show by going over the Mike Tomlin press conference from yesterday and talk about who we think is in and out this week. We both do not have have any reason to believe LaMarr Woodley, James Farrior or James Harrison will go Sunday night, but still hope that Jason Worilds decides this is the...

James Harrison cleared to return to practice; likely won't play against Baltimore

What a terrible weekend it was to be a linebacker in Pittsburgh. James Farrior is likely out a month. LaMarr Woodley is having an MVP-type season, but he left the Patriots game with a left hamstring injury. The Steelers did get some good news today, though: James Harrison has been cleared to return to practice. Ed Bouchette speculated last night that Harrison would perhaps be able...
