The loss of Starks is a big blow to Green Bay’s running game
Injury news and updates are no suprise to the Green Bay Packers nor Packers fans this year. But a surprising bit of news came on Tuesday that running back James Starks suffered a knee injury in Sunday’s victory over the Minnesota Vikings and the injury may end his season. The injury appeared to have occurred with about five minutes remaining in the fourth quarter when Starks was hit squarely in the knee and upended by Vikings cornerback Josh Robinson.
Starks limped off after the play but later returned to carry twice more. An NFL source stated that it was not an ACL injury and would not require surgery, but that the Packers are mulling putting Starks on injured reserve to utilize his roster spot for another healthy player.
