Fantasy Football Champs:
Packers running back James Starks has surpassed Alex Green as the team's starter, running backs coach Alex Van Pelt said. SOURCE: Green Bay Press-GazetteFantasy Spin:"I think (Starks) has earned it," Van Pelt said. "I think he was productive when he was in there the last couple of games with limited touches, and he has the most experience of the backs we have right now. I think he's earned the right to get in there and get some more touches." Starks could be a nice sleeper RB2 this week against the Lions.

Richard Sherman claimed he was Optimus Prime before Seattle's game against Megatron and Detroit, but Tramon Williams insists he's the true owner of that moniker.
Ahhhs and boos.
Those are the two distinct and opposite reactions the home crowd rains down on the same missed opportunity. Popular Green Bay Packers named Jennings, Jordy and James hear the former.
The latter may seem reserved solely for embattled tight end Jermichael Finley when he does the same thing . . . drop the rock.

Matthews was hurt two weeks ago in a game against the Arizona Cardinals and the hamstring hasn't healed sufficiently for him to play this week, the Green Bay Press-Gazette reported. Matthews, who has experienced hamstring...
It’s often times lost that Aaron Rodgers attended UC Berkeley for college. While the university has since become one of the top academic institutions in the country, its reputation throughout the years has been of welcoming some of the more bizarre characters ever to attend school. Count Rodgers among them.
Ever since his first year in the league, Rodgers has held onto an interesting...
Green Bay Packers cornerback Tramon Williams says he’s the real “Optimus Prime” when it comes to facing off against Lions wide receiver Calvin Johnson aka “Megatron.”
“I’m definitely Optimus Prime,” Williams said, per the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel. “I’m the leader of the Autobots. I’m the leader of the young guys right now and when it comes down to the tough...

Asked about his recent interview with 60 Minutes Aaron Rodgers let it be known he was not a fan of how he was portrayed.
“I wouldn’t put a whole lot of weight into that story,” Rodgers said. “It was cut for their purposes, their agenda, and most of the answers were either just portions of a bigger answer or probably not even for the question that was asked. So, I’m not...
With a 4-5 record, the Lions begin a stretch of home games they must win, beginning on Sunday against the Green Bay Packers -- a fact not lost on many of the team's defensive starters.
