PLAYERS: Jeff Fisher
TEAMS: St. Louis Rams

Cornerback Janoris Jenkins made an appearance on SiriusXM NFL Radio (via on Friday night after being drafted by the St. Louis Rams in the 2nd round of the NFL draft.

Given the fact that Jenkins’ new head coach in St. Louis–Jeff Fisher–coached Adam “Pacman” Jones in Tennessee–Jenkins is drawing comparisons to him because of his off the field character issues.

Adam Schein asked Jenkins if Fisher may have been interested in him because of how similar he is to Jones. Jenkins responded with a very direct answer.

“I mean, no, because I never shot up a strip club or nothing like that,” Jenkins said.

Well it looks like Jenkins isn’t worried about what flies out of his mouth. The St. Louis media should have fun with him this year.

Rams saw a bit of Terrell Owens in Brian Quick

According to Michael Silver of Yahoo! sports, Rams head coach Jeff Fisher and a small cluster of his staff traveled covertly to Boone, North Carolina last Friday to get a look at Appalachian State wide receiver Brian Quick. After Quick’s very impressive half hour workout, the Rams knew they wanted him. Ray Sherman, the receivers coach for the Rams, was reminded of a player he...

First round over, Rams' draft begins in second

ST. LOUIS Now their draft begins. Sure, the St. Louis Rams made LSU defensive tackle Michael Brockers the 14th overall pick Thursday, and coach Jeff Fisher called him NFL-ready, and general manager Les Snead said he was one of the top-rated players on their board. All those things happened on a night of drama and possibility, but the Rams' draft doesn't truly start until...

St. Louis Rams select Brian Quick, Grade B-

Pretty cool to have Isaac Bruce and Torry Holt at the podium to introduce the St. Louis Rams next No. 1 receiver. However, this was too early for Brian Quick. Sam Bradford needs someone who can come in and help him immediately, and the FCS receiver is too raw to make a significant impact early on. Unfortunately, this feels an awful lot like the when the Rams reached for Donnie Avery...

Rams' new foundation set in second round

ST. LOUIS A legacy has begun. Coach Jeff Fisher and general manager Les Snead will make selections in the last four rounds, of course, but the foundation of the St. Louis Rams' first NFL Draft under new leadership was set early Friday night. There were various messages sent with the three players taken in the second round: Snead and Fisher trust their instincts when evaluating...

Matt Daniels signs with St. Louis Rams

Former Duke football standout Matt Daniels signed a free agent contract with the St. Louis Rams on Saturday.

St. Louis Rams select Janoris Jenkins, Grade C

The St. Louis Rams are gambling here, but I don’t completely hate the move. They have multiple picks in the 2nd round, so I can definitely understand why they were willing to gamble. However, a young team which is likely not going to be competitive for another year or two is generally not a good place for a guy with character concerns. Janoris Jenkins would have been better off...

Rams pick RB Richardson of Abilene Christian

The St. Louis Rams selected running back Daryl Richardson of Abilene Christian with their second pick in the seventh round Saturday. The Rams used the 252nd selection - next to last - of the draft to pick 5-foot-11, 200-pound Richardson. It was a compensatory pick for St. Louis. Richardson is the brother of former Abilene Christian running back Bernard Scott, who now plays for...

2012 NFL Draft: Rams Select Michael Brockers

With the 14th pick from the Dallas Cowboys the St. Louis Rams select DT Michael Brockers.  This is a great pick for the Rams who like any other team needs to stuff the run up the middle.  He can take over a game if put in the right situation.  He is fast enough to jump the gap when the guards pull. The Rams have 3 of the first 45 picks plus the number 1 pick which means they have...

Rams grab CB Trumain Johnson in 3rd round

ST. LOUIS (AP) -- The St. Louis Rams chose a defensive back with their third-round pick, taking Trumaine Johnson of Montana. said the 6-foot-2, 204-pound Johnson was arguably one of the best prospects to emerge from the Big Sky Conference in several years and he was rated the best draft prospect at the small college level and most underrated defensive back by the NFL draft...

Rams draft Michael Brockers, form 3/4 of D-line Voltron

"With the fourteenth pick in the 2012 NFL Draft (what?), the St Louis Rams select Michael Brockers, defensive tackle, LSU." Before you even say it, allow me. "What the what? Remember Jimmy Kennedy? When are we going to draft weapons? What about Sam Bradford? A defensive player? A defensive TACKLE? You've gotta be kidding me?!? Hope you're ready for double...

Janoris Jenkins has a hilarious reason why he rejects the Pacman Jones comparison

Talented cornerback. Multiple off-the-field issues. Drafted by Jeff Fisher. The comparisons between Janoris Jenkins and Pacman Jones are evident. But because of one glaring difference, Jenkins doesn’t buy the link to the notoriously oft-troubled Jones. The Rams’ second-round pick jumped on SiriusXM radio with host Adam Schein on Friday and rejected the Pacman comparison when...

Rams pick DT Michael Brockers with 14th pick

ST. LOUIS (AP) -- Backed into a corner by the mad shuffling ahead of them, the St. Louis Rams have added a big body to the defensive line by taking LSU defensive tackle Michael Brockers with the 14th overall pick. The Rams appeared poised to take Oklahoma State wide receiver Justin Blackmon with the sixth pick, then traded down eight spots after Jacksonville moved up to snatch Blackmon...

St. Louis Rams Select WR Brian Quick With 33rd Overall Pick

The St. Louis Rams passed on the likes of LSU’s Rueben Randle, Stephen Hill out of Georgia Tech and South Carolina’s Alshon Jeffery with the first pick in the second round (33rd overall) in the 2012 NFL Draft. However, wide receiver Brian Quick, one of the team’s pre-draft visitors, received first-round grades from several NFL area scouts. Quick, an unheralded long-armed small...
