MVN Redskins:
Redskins QB Jason Campbell took some heat for Sunday's 23-17 loss to the New York Giants. We all have differing opinions on where the proper blame lies, for which to me, the blame for this game falls squarely on Jim Zorn and the defense's lack of tackling. Jason Campbell was far from perfect. Jason Campbell was not the reason the Redskins lost. Campbell spoke in an interview with Sports Radio. Here are some highlights of his comments. Well after watching the film, there is not one guy that can be
like: 'I didn't mess up, I can point the finger', because if they do
they are lying. You can go from top to bottom. Each guy can point out some things that they all could have done better and coaches also.Bingo! Nicely put Jason. I think right now, coaches they watch the film and just want to
make sure that the time is going to be there to hit those deeper routes
and if we have an understanding is how deep we are supposed to get on
those routes. This comment to me makes me think Jim Zorn lacks confidence in his offensive line to provide the pass protection needed for the deeper routes to develop. If the Giant game was an indicator, I think the offensive line did fairly well. Great? No. But they did better than I expected. Campbell needs to unleash the ball and the receivers need to gain separation. That's the bottom line on deep routes. Either receivers are consistently not getting open on those called plays or Campbell is just not seeing the field well. Regardless, it needs fixed, because right now, this offense is super boring. Read the whole thing.
