Jason Kelce’s wife Kylie reveals NFL legend’s plans after retirement: ‘Nothing is off the table’

Kylie Kelce, the wife of recently retired NFL offensive lineman Jason Kelce, believes her husband can do anything for his next career. While appearing on the Today show, Kylie said, “I think nothing is off the table at this point.”

“He’s my husband so I’m biased, but he’s so good at everything he tries, Kylie said, per PEOPLE, adding that “it’s kinda a pain in the butt.”

Jason announced his retirement last month after spending 13 seasons with the Philadelphia Eagles. Kylie revealed that Jason wrote his 40-minute retirement speech “for years.”

“He had been telling me he was going to retire since we started dating, which was almost nine years ago,” Kylie explained. “Because I think that he understood the impact of what football has been to his life and I think he wanted to make sure that he accurately conveyed that to everyone else.

“And I think it’s like a moment to give thanks to all people that helped him along the way and he truly contributes his journey to the coaches that he had, the people that he had around him, every single teammate, so he really wanted to make sure that it was correct.”

Jason Kelce could be heading to Monday Night Football

Kylie’s appearance on the Today show comes after The Athletic reported that Monday Night Football is going after Jason to be part of its broadcast team. “ESPN is planning another Monday Night Football pregame shake-up, according to executives with knowledge of the network’s plans,” The Athletic’s Andrew Marchand wrote. “A year after a complete makeover of the set under the stewardship of Scott Van Pelt, Robert Griffin III’s spot is in jeopardy, while the network is aggressively pursuing retired Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce for Monday nights.”

Jason Kelce had a Hall of Fame career with the Eagles. In his 13 seasons, Kelce was selected to the Pro Bowl seven times, named to the Pro Bowl six times and helped the Eagles win the Super Bowl during the 2017 season. If there’s one thing Kelce wants to do now that he’s retired, he would like to stay close to the Eagles organization.

“I don’t know what’s going to happen for me, but I do know I still want to be involved in the organization and still want to be a part of it…, ” Kelce told The Philadelphia Inquirer. “Because I don’t want to ever feel like I’m on the outside looking in on these achievements and these accolades and these opportunities that largely represent entire cities and fan bases and organizations.”
