The Tennessee Titans have made several acquisitions this off-season, including the signing of former Jets running back Shonn Greene to a three-year deal. Star running back Chris Johnson has already openly questioned why the Titans felt the need to add another back, and now a player with ties to the Titans is speaking up as well. Former Titans backup running back Javon Ringer also has some apprehension about the signing, and told the Tennessean he doesn’t understand why the Titans signed Greene either. “I am happy for Shonn because I know him from playing in the Big Ten, and he’s a good guy. He’s a good running back,” Ringer said. “But when they got him I said, ‘Dang, they had some guys who never got a chance to play, so why are they adding someone like that?’ “All this talk about them needing another running back to help C.J., it kind of made me upset. I’m like, ‘Man, they had some good running backs behind C.J., and they just never really got a chance.’ And because we were not able

Another Titan scratching his head over Shonn Greene signing

Tennessee Titans running back Chris Johnson has already voiced his opinion about the team signing former Jets RB Shonn Greene, now Johnson's current backup (or shall we say former backup), Javon Ringer is calling it a slap in the face. Way to make a new teammate feel at home. “I am happy for Shonn because I know him from playing in the Big Ten, and he’s a good guy. He’s...

Former Titans Cheerleader Arrested for Allegedly Sexually Assaulting a 12-Year-Old Boy

A former Tennessee Titans cheerleader is making headlines. Elizabeth Leigh Garner, who was on the Titans’ cheer squad four years ago at the ripe age of 38, has been accused of sexually assaulting a 12-year-old boy in Murfreesboro, Tenn., according to The 42-year-old Garner, who told NewsChannel 5 off-camera that she was innocent, reportedly told sex crimes...

Will the Titans move on from Chris Johnson after 2013?

Mike Florio of believes there’s a chance the Tennessee Titans may end moving on from running back Chris Johnson after the 2013 season. With the Titans signing Greene to a three-year, $10 million deal and Johnson making $10 million in 2013 on a contract that has become a year-to-year proposition, Johnson realizes that the presence of Greene could make the Titans...

Titans sign SS Bernard Pollard

The Tennessee Titans added another man to their defense on Thursday, signing strong safety Bernard Pollard. Pollard started 13 games each of the past two seasons for the Ravens, but Baltimore released him at the start of the new league year last week. It's reported to be a one-year deal. Pollard is perhaps best known for his injury-causing hard hits, most notably on Tom Brady...

Titans would like to let Jake Locker use legs more, but injuries a concern

The NFL is moving toward the read option across the board.  Teams that do not have a quarterback who can run are falling behind (sans those with established, Super Bowl winning QBs).  So it's no surprise the Tennessee Titans would like to see Jake Locker run more.  However, they are concerned about him getting hurt. According to Jim Wyatt of the Tennesseean, the team is...

Tennessee Titans sign G Andy Levitre

I have never liked the idea of giving a guard a lot of money, but the Titans desperately needed guard help and Levitre will instantly turn the left guard position into a position of major strength. Plus, Levitre got less money than Davin Joseph (7 years, 52.5 million with 19 million guaranteed), Carl Nicks (5 years, 47.5 million with 31 million guaranteed), and Jahri Evans (7 years...
