Yesterday, we kicked off Jay Cutler Appreciation Week with a look at Jay’s most notorious douchebag moments. It was nothing short of glorious. But today is a different day, so we must move on. Despite all the flak Cutler gets for supposedly being arrogant and having a bad attitude, I know he’s a good guy because he’s a dog owner. A bad person doesn’t take the task of picking up dog poop.   In the seemingly never-ending ‘Dogs vs Cats’ debate, Cutler has chosen the right side. Cutler can’t be all those negative things his critics call him when he has to go home at night and take care of his two small dogs. I emphasize small because Cutler could have decided to own big, manly looking dogs, ones that would “fit” a man. But instead, he decided on the much more humble approach, and you have to respect him for that. I know it may sound silly to praise what seems to be such an unimportant choice, but taking care of a dog takes a lot of character, tolerance, and love. Most importantly, it makes you into a better person. I would know because I am dog owner myself. His name is Stewie, and he’s my best friend.   Sure, the pet Cutler owns doesn’t affect his game on the field. But the choices players make off the field are almost as important to fans as the choices players make on the field. So Jay, I appreciate your good judgement when it comes to making pet choices.
