Found April 08, 2013 on Midwest Sports Fans:
PLAYERS: Jay Cutler
TEAMS: Chicago Bears

There hasn’t been much news about the NFL’s greatest QB this offseason. That changed last Friday when Jay Cutler’s appeared on KFC Radio rocking a full, manly beard and a sweater that puts the one my grandma made for me at Christmas of 2006 to shame. The 50 minute show didn’t offer much insight into what Cutler has been doing this offseason, but I wasn’t really paying attention to anything that was said because the awesomeness of the beard was both blinding and deafening.   I really hope Cutler keeps the beard for this season. A good set of facial hair just might be the jumpstart the Chicago Bears’ offense needs to catapult themselves to the top of the NFL. The post Jay Cutler Dominates in Full Beard and Ugly Sweater appeared first on Midwest Sports Fans.

Devin Hester is content with being a return man on Bears

Devin Hester is not expected to see a lot of action at wide receiver this year. There is a chance that Hester could not be used at all at the position and that is alright according to the 30-year-old. “I’m fine with it,” Hester said on The J Mack and Nate Vash Show. “It was kind of my idea to let me more focus on my kickoff and punt return thing. … It was more of my idea...

Emery Bucking Bears History

Phil Emery has been the general manger for the Chicago Bears for about 15 months now and his long-term plan for the team is methodically being revealed, though it could be a shock to the system of those who have followed the team for a long time. Since George Halas founded the Chicago Bears back in 1920, the team name has been synonymous with stingy defense. The most casual...

D.J. Williams isn’t trying to make Bears fans forget Brian Urlacher: ‘I'm not trying to fill his shoes’

D.J. Williams understood when he signed with the Chicago Bears; he was stepping in for a legend. However, he knows that he won’t be Brian Urlacher and he doesn’t want to be either. Williams could actually be an upgrade from the Bears great at this point in time. His off the field issues derailed his career in Denver, but before that Williams was as good as a middle linebacker...

Chicago Bears Draft Notes: Formulating a Draft Strategy Part One

Chicago Bears general manager Phil Emery has already stated publicly that he is open to trading down in the 2013 draft to accumulate more draft picks.  Emery knows that the Bears have more needs than they have draft picks with which to land an impact player, or players that can be groomed for depth or rotational purposes.  Lacking a third round draft  pick limits the flexibility...

Chicago Bears Draft Notes: First Round Wide Receiver Considerations

With teams firmly entrenched in their war rooms evaluating and reevaluating players in preparation for the NFL draft that starts two weeks from Thursday it's time to narrow down prospects who the Bears should consider in the first round.  The Bears have plenty of needs, and depending  on how the draft falls there should be a solid list of players for the them to choose from...

Jay Cutler confirms he mailed engagement ring on second proposal

Jay Cutler confirmed the story that everyone hoped was not true: he mailed an engagement ring to Kristin Cavallari the second time they agreed to get married. Cutler and Cavallari broke up in July 2011, but they got back together a few months later and they now have a child together. They still have not been married (as far as we know), but that is likely to change soon. During...

Devin Hester is looking to get his ‘swagger’ back as a return man

The good news is Devin Hester won’t be playing receiver in 2013, but the bad news is he’ll have more time to focus on returning kicks. Hester has made the kick return a thing of beauty to watch over the years and now he’ll get more time to focus on what he does best. According to Dan Hanzus of, Hester is in the process of re-introducing himself to sole kickoff duties...

Chicago Bears Updated 2013 NFL Draft Team Needs

The Chicago Bears didn’t do too much to bolster their roster on the open market, but the club looks to be slightly better off—if anything—after almost four weeks of 2013 NFL Free Agency.  Let’s examine their updated team needs heading into the 2013 NFL Draft (in no particular order). Mrs. Jay Cutler Lounging In Bikini Poolside In Mexico

Doing her thing as one of the NFL’s top WAGS, Kristin Cavallari took off to Mexico last week for a little rest and re…

Bears Draft Prospects: RBs (Round 1-3)

The Chicago Bears have been working out running back prospects, which shows the team’s interest in getting younger, and cheaper, at the position. Bear Report breaks down the RBs in this year’s draft.

Devin Hester is fine with focusing on returning kicks

Bears head coach Marc Trestman isn't afraid of making some changes around his team. One of the changes we'll see when football returns later in the year is Devin Hester back returning kicks as his primary job. The move makes a lot of sense, but until now, we weren't sure how Hester felt about the news. Yesterday, Hester said in an interview on WLS in Chicago that he...

Chicago Bears 2013 NFL Draft Targets

The Bears have their eyes on Manti Te'o (Robin Alam / Icon SMI) In my last two articles, I've covered plenty of NFC North Free Agency news. And, certainly plenty on the Bears in particular. So let's get down to some draft picks! After all, April 25th will be here before we know it. Here's a look at who I think the Chicago Bears should be putting these hats on for...
