In an exclusive unexpected interview on WMVP 1000 ESPN radio Chicago on the Waddle and Silvy Show Bears quarterback Jay Cutler called in to go to bat for former and teammate again Brandon Marshall.

Marshall was recently traded to the Chicago Bears for two third round draft picks was involved in a incident at a club in New York Post gossip column.

Cutler immediately stuck up for his teammate and any harsh rhetoric coming from the Silvy by stating,

"So why are we questioning Brandon as a person?"  Cutler was already terse in his comments directed at Silvy.  From there Cutler further pressed the ESPN 1000 host "Do you know what happened though?"  Silvy was further put on the defensive because he didn't know what had happened other than the single report from the New York Post.

"So you don't know the guy you odn't know exactly what happened this weekend, if there's one thing we know about Phil Emery he's a very detailed oriented guy and probably had already gotten to the bottom of this before he decided to make the deal."

Waddle then asked Cutler about the incident if he knew what had happened to which Cutler responded "I have an idea, obviously I wasn't there, but I'm super excited to get him (Marshall) it's unfortunate that this came out when it did, we don't want to paint a bad picture of Brandon Marshall, does he have a record of some things in the past, absolutely but I've know him as a person not only as a player, and he truly is a good guy.  We got a good teammate and we got a heck of a football player."

A bit later in the interview Cutler mentioned that "I'm going to keep an eye on him."  with Marshall back here in Chicago to help him keep on the right track and make sure he stays on the field for the Bears."

ESPN radio Chicago will have a full replay of the Cutler article at 12 noon and it will also be available on podcast.
