Jat Cutler added fuel to the fire for Thursday Nights rivalry game against the Packers If you asked me how well Jay Cutler would do against the Green Bay Packers secondary on Thursday, I would have told you anything less than a 400 yard 3 TD performance would be a disappointment. Now I’m not so sure after Cutlers’ comments to CSNChicago this morning. Being interviewed by CSNChicago, when asked about if the Packers wanted to try against the Chicago Bears wide receivers. Cutler responded by saying “Good Luck, We invite press coverage. We invite man.” Cutler now can be confident about his WR’s after management brought in his former teammate Brandon Marshall and drafted Alshon Jeffery. Cutler will also be taking on a Packers secondary that just allowed Alex Smith to throw 2 TD passes with weaker options than Marshall, but I still think it was a stupid move on Cutlers part. Now I’m not saying this quote is going to make the Packers secondary evolve to an All Pro level, but I wouldn’t hav...

Bears Jay Cutler Wishes Packers ‘Good Luck’ - Out of…

Bears Jay Cutler Wishes Packers ‘Good Luck’ - Out of the six games that Bears QB Jay Cutler has played against the Packers since he’s been in Chicago, he’s only beaten Green Bay one time. But Cutler doesn’t think the Packers secondary will be able to physically dominate his receiver the way they have in the past. Cutler says he knows that WR’s Brandon Marshall and Alshon...

Cutler has a message for Packers defensive backs: “Good luck”

With the addition of physical wide receivers such as Brandon Marshall (above), Bears quarterback Jay Cutler is becoming more cocky telling Green Bay defense backs “good luck” (Credit: AP Photo). As the Chicago Bears prepare for their showdown with division rival Green Bay Packers on Thursday, Jay Cutler is already giving the Packers bulletin board material. Cutler has always...

Jay Cutler Leads Chicaco Bears in Rout of Indianapolis Colts

Jay Cutler went behind center and found Brandon Marshall with ease, as if the two had never been separated from their time in Denver. Cutler threw for 333 yards and two touchdowns, Marshall had 119 yards and a touchdown through the air to spoil No. 1 overall pick Andrew Luck's debut 41-21 at Soldier Field. In fact, the whole team was in sync in this one. Matt Forte...

Jay Cutler and the Chicago Bears outshine Andrew Luck

Going into Sundays game there was a lot of talk about both teams.  How would Andrew Luck, “the best quarterback since John Elway“, do in his rookie debut?  How would Michael Bush fit in with Matt Forte?  But the even bigger story of the day was the reuniting of Jay Cutler and Brandon Marshall. Andrew Luck has yet proven anything to me or any other true NFL writer.  As a...

Jay Cutler of the Bears can talk the talk but can he walk the walk?

After a relatively quiet preseason the Chicago Bears and quarterback Jay Cutler got off to a shaky start offensively before eventually finding their groove in Week 1. After throwing and early interception that was returned for a touchdown, Cutler completed 21 passes for 333 yards; nine of which went to Bears newcomer, Brandon Marshall, for 119. Cutler’s season opening performance...

Chicago Bears Report Card: Week 1 vs. The Indianapolis Colts

The Chicago Bears passed their season-opening "exam" with flying colors on Sunday over the Indianapolis Colts. Playing against a team with just two wins from the season before may not be the greatest measuring stick for any team. Add to the mix, the Colts were starting a rookie quarterback with a first-year coach and anything but an impressive win would have been considered...

Bears versus Packers: A Passionate Preview

Before last Sunday’s NFL Game of the Week between the Packers and the 49ers, I joined fellow Packers fan Amanda Lawson and 49ers fan Jerod Morris for a fun round of passionate banter discussing the game. Unfortunately, the preview turned out to be the most enjoyable aspect of the game as the 49ers ultimately won in Lambeau. This week, the method will stay the same — previewing...

Game Recap: Bears Start The Season Off Right With a 41-21 Win Over Indy

The Chicago Bears started the 2012 campaign with a win over the Indianapolis Colts at Soldier Field. Here is a recap of the 41-21 victory on Sunday. 1st quarter: It was a rough start for the Bears, who looked shaky on their first two drives. They allowed one sack and Jay Cutler tossed an ugly pick six on a check down to Matt Forte from his own four-yard line. The Colts were up 7...
