PLAYERS: Jay Cutler
TEAMS: Chicago Bears
The Chicago Bears are only playing in their second preseason game of the 2013 season but quarterback Jay Cutler is in mid-season grumpy form. Cutler was filmed during ESPN’s Monday Night Countdown show yelling at a ball boy to “give me the f*cking ball.”  Cutler than shakes his head in disapproval. Cutler is under a lot of pressure this year as he enters into the final year of his contract and first under new head coach Marc Trestman. Bears QB Suffers Shocking Injury

Early yesterday morning a team spokesperson for the Chicago Bears confirmed reports that starting quarterback Jay Cutler suffered a severe right eyebrow sprain after glowering at an unnamed offensive lineman during a mid-week practice. A lineman, who spoke on the condition of anonymity, witnessed the gruesome injury. “Oh, yeah.  I saw the whole thing,” the player said.  ...

Jay Cutler Tears Ball Boy a New One Because He Is Jay Cutler

Someone needs to find this ball boy and give him a hug. During Thursday’s preseason game between the Bears and Chargers, Jay Cutler acted as Jay Cutler was, but this time it wasn’t directed at one of his own offensive lineman. Instead it was directed at a ball boy who was a little behind on his duties, or so thought Cutty. Seems like Jay needs to also watch his language on...

All eyes on Cutler as Bears meet Chargers

The first step for Jay Cutler was a bit wobbly. Maybe this one will be a little smoother. The Chicago Bears meet the San Diego Chargers on Thursday, and all eyes will remain on Cutler as he tries to adapt to new coach Marc Trestman's offense. ''We're moving along,'' Cutler said. ''I don't think I can pinpoint exactly where we're at, but we...

Chicago Bears get the win, but…

It was difficult to determine if the Bears were simply that good, or if the San Diego Chargers were really that bad.  As the game wore on, it became clear it was a little bit of both. QB Jay Cutler was sacked twice during the first offensive series.  TE Martellus Bennet was taken back of the woodshed by DE Jarrett Johnson and after that, Cutler was up to his old tricks, diddly...

Still no balance for Cutler, Bears offense

The Chicago Bears offense will stagnate under Marc Trestman if Jay Cutler doesn’t curb his all-encompassing infatuation with Brandon Marshall and start spreading the ball around in the passing game.

Jay Cutler displays acting chops in FX promo video

Jay Cutler happy to be in offense designed to limit sacks

Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler is very happy to be learning a new offense that is designed to limit sacks. New head coach Marc Trestman has implemented his offense, which focuses on pass protection and getting the ball out of the quarterback’s hands quickly. “You get rid of the ball,” said Cutler, who has been sacked 148 times in 56 games with the Bears. “You’re

Bears 33, Chargers 28

This new and supposedly improved offense is producing some awfully familiar results for the Chicago Bears. Jay Cutler looked shaky again and the defense made up for it, harassing Philip Rivers early on and setting the tone for the Bears in a 33-28 victory over the San Diego Chargers in a preseason game on Thursday night. All eyes remain on the quarterback after the Bears made some...
