PLAYERS: Jay Cutler
TEAMS: Chicago Bears
Cutty does it — all. At least in high school, anyway. Before Jay Cutler landed his starting gig with the Chicago Bears, and before he even played ball for Vanderbilt, the Santa Claus, Ind., native was busy lighting it up on the field, and on the court, at Heritage Hills High School. Cutler’s high school highlight reel reveals his promise as a football star, throwing touchdowns, catching passes, rushing, tackling and even returning punts. His mobility may have taken a few hits on his rise to the NFL, but that wasn’t the only surprising part of the video. The quarterback also showed off his basketball skills as his highlight tape concludes with a series of impressive dunks. Check out No. 6 during his high school days in the video below, and skip to 4:30 for dunking Jay Cutler. Filed under: Anna Fogel, Headlines, NFL

Jay Cutler was a high school basketball star too (video)

For some reason, the high school highlight video of Jay Cutler has shown up on a couple sports news websites and blogs today. It’s hasn’t “surfaced” or “resurfaced,” as it was originally uploaded on February 2nd, 2010 by a YouTube account that is affiliated with or possibly is the Vanderbilt football official account. Anyway, people are talking about Jay Cutler today...

WATCH: Jay Cutler destroys Steelers defender

The Chicago Bears are 3-0 and in a twist-of-fate Jay Cutler is laying out defenders. On Sunday night Cutler and the Bears went into Heinz Field for a beat down of the Pittsburgh Steelers. And by beat down we mean Jay Cutler laying out Steelers safety Robert Golden. MELTON: Bears worried about possible ACL injury to DT Props to Cutler but maybe next time he shouldn’t lead with...

Jay Cutler Lays Somebody Out; Enjoys Cigarette After (not really)

This is one of those things that I do't think I would have believed had I not been watching the game, but it is true. No tricks here. No computer animated or generated anything. This is reality at its best. Jay Cutler, quarterback of the Chicago Bears, lays out a Pittsburgh defender (whose name will be withheld to protect the innocent): @cjzero/Twitter  ...

Here Are Jay Cutler’s High School Highlights… Just Because

Jay Cutler is riding high after leading the Bears to a 3-0 record on Sunday night, and just because of that we decided to post his high school highlight reel from his time as a student at Heritage Hills High School in Lincoln City, Indiana. You may not have known that Jay also was a great basketball player, as evidenced by the end of the video. [H/T CBS] Article found on: Next Impulse Sports

Jay Cutler’s high school highlight video is dunkalicious

They don't call him Smokin' Jay Cutler for no reason. He's always been a baller, even in high school when he was throwing down insane dunks on the hard court.

Jay Cutler trucked the crap out of Steelers DB Robert Golden (GIF)

Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler had arguably the best hit of Week 3 during his team’s win over the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday night. With Chicago leading 27-24 in the fourth quarter, Cutler took off and scrambled for 13 yards to pick up a crucial first down on 3rd-and-10. Steelers safety Robert Golden made the […]

Jay Cutler Issues A Sorry, Not Sorry Over Laying Big Hit

During a critical drive in the second half of the Bears’ win in Pittsburgh, Jay Cutler scrambled for a first down, ending his run by driving the shoulder of his throwing arm into Steelers defensive back Robert Golden. The hit wrecked Golden’s sh*t, but a quarterback throwing his body around like that is bound to elicit concern from those who would like to see Cutler play a full...

Monday Morning Chrysler New Yorker

I love Mila Kunis even though she's dating a Bears fan. 40-23 Bears. The Steelers kicked a FG to bring the score to a mere four-point deficit four minutes into the 4th quarter. It was 27-23, with all momentum with the Black and Gold. On a 3rd-and-10, Jay Cutler ran for 13 yards and a 1st down. Much will be made about Cutler lowering his shoulder for a hit rather than...

Jay Cutler Is Sick of Being Wimp, Lights Up Steelers Safety Robert Golden (GIF)

Jay Cutler is usually the one getting bowled over. On Sunday, he got to dish out a little pain of his own. With the Steelers hot on the Bears’ trail early in the fourth quarter, Cutler saw a big gap in the defense on third-and-10 and decided to take off running. The prototypical pocket passer scampered up to the first-down marker before a defender finally met him to make a play...

The Chicago Bears and the Art of Collapsing

It takes a special team to collapse in the NFL. You need a mechanically and emotionally erratic quarterback, a quiet and laid back coach who won't ever bring the collapse to the team's attention or try to do something about it, and in Chicago's case, an offensive line that appears to be a group of double agents for the opposing team's defense. No team has exemplified...

Harf Harf Harf Loss Loss Loss

Pittsburgh teased with the prospect of making a comeback in the second half, getting as close as 27-23, but then Jay Cutler dove headfirst into a safety on a scramble. According to Cris Collinsworth, that’s the most inspiring and heroic thing a quarterback can do. The Bears scored soon after on an amazing catch by Earl Bennett in the corner of the end zone to make it a two-score...

Week Three Sleepers

Week three has come and gone. The good news is that week four is right around the corner! This is where it gets interesting as we hit the beginning of the bye weeks and have seen some players unfortunately go down with injury. If you are in need of a weekly flier to plug in I got you covered. Quarterback Jay Cutler, Chicago Bears. Cutler may not be available in your league but if...
