Tom Brady is considered by many to be one of the greatest players to ever suit up on the gridiron. The three-time Super Bowl Champion and two-time NFL MVP is not only good on the football field, he’s also great in the kitchen. According to the his college roommate and teammate at Michigan in 1997 and ’98, Jay Feely, Brady is a great pancake chef. “There was a summer we lived together and now-Congressman Jon Runyan, we subletted his house. And there was always a fight about who was going to do dishes. Tommy was always good at making pancakes. We’d make him get up and make us all breakfast.” Feely also added that Brady was one of the neat ones in the house and that he was good with the women at Michigan. “The only inkling I had was he was good with women from his college days. So it doesn’t surprise me, his success in that department,” Feely said. The only news here is that he’s good at making pancakes. The fact that he’s good with women is pretty obvious to the rest of us. [CBS...

Brady-led Patriots a 'measuring stick' for Cards

TEMPE, Ariz. -- Early in training camp, Cardinals defensive coordinator Ray Horton was rattling off what he called the murderers row of great quarterbacks Arizona is slated to face this season. Well, might as well start with the most notorious opponent killer of them all: New Englands Tom Brady. This, to me, is the pinnacle of quarterbacks in the history of football, Horton said...

Tom Brady is one tough quarterback

I would like to start with Tom Brady's mental toughness. I will start with his time in Michigan where he challenged Brian Griese for the starting job. Griese got the start as he was the upperclassman.

Bill Belichick reluctant to ‘atta boy’ Tom Brady for all those wins

There may not be a more boring interview than Bill Belichick. Boston reporters have tried for years to get a soundbite out of the New England Patriots head coach, but they have come up with zilch. Belichick hates having to speak with the media, and usually never sits down with interviewers from another city. But [...]

Tom Brady May Have Cried When Thinking About Close Call in Draft, But Derek Jeter Never Let It Cross His Mind

One of the great unanswerable questions in sports is: What if? What if Wally Pipp hadn't come out of that game, and the kid Lou Gehrig hadn't stepped in at first? What if the Red Sox hadn't taken a chance on the major league managing bust that was Terry Francona? What if the referees in Oakland on that snowy day hadn't reinterpreted their definition of "tuck...

Tom Brady Doesn't Think Wes Welker's Decreased Role Against Titans Is An Issue

A lot has been made about Wes Welker only playing 64 percent of the offensive snaps Sunday against the Titans. Welker played nearly 90 percent of the total snaps last season and never dropped below 70 percent in a single game last season. Some view Welker's decreased role as a sign that he is being phased out of the offense. Quarterback Tom Brady doesn't think it is an...

Arizona Cardinals vs. New England Patriots: Three Bold Predictions

Coming off a strong defensive effort and escaping with a victory in Week 1, the Arizona Cardinals will head into New England to face a well-balanced Patriots team. During the last two years, in 2010 and 2011, the Patriots were ranked 25th and 31st in total defense, and therefore the pressure was placed on Tom Brady and the offense to win games by racking up points. This offseason...

2012 NFL Week 2 power rankings: Patriots on top

1. New England Patriots (1-0) ↔ Stevan Ridley looked good, Gronk and Aaron Hernandez each caught a TD, the defense literally hit the Tennessee Titans in the mouth, and Tom Brady got knocked down and got right back up. This team looks tougher, faster, smarter, and simply better! 2. San Francisco 49ers (1-0)↑2 Speaking of hitting people in the mouth, the 49ers just beat up...

Patriots look to build on win over Tennessee

Bill Belichick got one of his answers he was looking for in the Titans game. He found out that his defense can shut down a premier running back with speed cold in his tracks. Against Arizona this weekend, the question will be whether they can they shut down an elite receiver in Larry Fitzgerald. Starting quarterback John Skelton has an ankle sprain, so Kevin Kolb will be the guy...

Cardinals-Patriots Preview

The New England Patriots reached the Super Bowl last season despite a shaky defense, but that unit could be drastically improved if Week 1 is any indication. Tom Brady's offense, meanwhile, appears as potent as ever. The Patriots aim for another impressive all-around showing Sunday in their home opener against the Arizona Cardinals, who seem likely to have Kevin Kolb under...

NFL Week 2 Power Rankings: Who moved around after the first week?

(Won-Loss Record and Last Week’s Ranking in parentheses) 1.  Baltimore Ravens (1-0) (2) - Really no one looked more impressive than the Ravens did Monday night. 2.  New England Patriots (1-0) (4) - Ways NOT to stop Tom Brady:  break his freaking nose. 3.  San Francisco 49ers (1-0) (7) - I’d not have believed it if I didn’t see it.  Alex Smith outplayed...

Always Be Covering:

Last Week: 3-4 The hardest week of the year is out of the way. Anyone who tells you week 1 is easy is an idiot, as I was when I told you that very thing some time ago. Let’s get nuts. New England Patriots -14 vs. Arizona Cardinals This is a great week to be going up against Tom Brady in both of my leagues. I hate fantasy football more and more every year. New York Jets +5.5...
