Found August 17, 2012 on The Bull Gator:
The trend of Bill Belichick picking up Florida Gators is continuing Friday. Jeff Demps – the Gators’ former speedster – decided to sign with the Patriots after much interest in the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Demps will join his former teammates Jermaine Cunningham, Aaron Hernandez and Brandon Spikes in New England. The Patriots look to be Super Bowl contenders again after losing to the New York Giants last year. Demps should be used in many ways by the offensive mastermind that is Belichick and his speed will fit well on an already quick roster. It’s unlikely that Demps has been chosen to replace Wes Welker at the slot position obviously because of the wide skill gap, but Demps should play some roles in the receiving game. Bill Belichick should find some ways to use Demps that we never had imagined, and it will be interesting to watch Demps in his transition back from track to football.

Belichick encourages Pats passers to take chances

Training camp is the time to take chances. If a quarterback completes a risky pass, he could try that again during the regular season. If it's intercepted, he knows it might be a bad idea to throw it when the games count. But New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick wants to see those passes in practice. He said Wednesday that it's OK for a player to take risks at times...

Vote: Which Skills Player Is Most Important to Patriots Success This Season?

The success of the Patriots always seems to ride on the shoulders on Tom Brady and inside the mind of Bill Belichick. But while those two things along can typically prompt a playoff run for the team, accomplishing every teams' ultimate goal takes a lot more than an elite quarterback and a wily head coach. This season there are a number of moving parts for New England and with...
