Good news Browns fans, Jeff Garcia has a solution to your nagging Brandon Weeden problem! Just sign the 43 year old former QB who hasn’t played football since 2010 and put him behind center!
@923TheFan said #browns told Jeff Garcia they believed that they were just going to move forward with Weeden and Campbell as the #2.

How ridiculous is the suggestion? On a scale of 1-10, with 1 being reasonable and 10 being ******* crazy, its a solid 9. At one point in time Garcia was a solid NFL QB, managing to make three consecutive Pro Bowls from 2000-2002. But that was over a decade ago and since then he has done absolutely nothing of any significance. Hmm, sounds like every other Cleveland QB over that period of time. On second thought, maybe they should sign him. Couldn’t get any worse, right?

BEST OF MAXIM
Nine years ago, Jeff Garcia was the starting quarterback for the Cleveland Browns. And at that point, Garcia was considered to be old. He was 34 and beyond his prime, and he posted a shabby passer rating of 76.7 while losing eight of his 11 starts under center.
Nearly a decade later, the Browns quarterback situation is no more stable. Brandon Weeden is the NFL's third-lowest...
Here's a new wrinkle in the Browns' curious quarterback conundrum: Former NFL starter Jeff Garcia called and offered his services.
Garcia, who started 10 games for Cleveland in 2004, told 92.3 The Fan on Tuesday that he contacted the Browns and asked for a tryout. The 43-year-old Garcia hasn't started an NFL game in five years, but he informed the Browns he would love...
CLEVELAND,OH- Reading NFL.com’s column by Dan Handzus about the comments of Jeff Garcia saying he could still play at forty-three, it’s going to open a lot of people’s eyes. He was even on NFL AM to comment and was asked about Brandon Weeden, here’s what Garcia said. “It’s funny, I actually reached out to the Browns and […]
Detmer v. Couch begat Couch v. Holcomb, Holcomb v. Frye, Dilfer v. Frye, Frye v. Anderson, Anderson v. Quinn, Delhomme v. Delhomme, Wallace v. McCoy, McCoy v. McCoy, and Weeden v. Weeden.
Now it’s Weeden v. 43-year-old Jeff Garcia, who hasn’t thrown an NFL pass in 5 years, and the people have spoken.
Every time I think I’ve seen the most Cleveland Browns thing, a Brownser...
Scott: So… Was that the last start for Brandon Weeden? Should it be his last start?
TD: They cannot trot him out there at home again. It will be a the ugliest of ugly scenes if they do so. My guess is they start him at KC, let him hang himself with more bad QB play on the road against one of the best defenses in the league, and prepare Campbell to start in two weeks against...
Darin Gantt of NBCSports reports that Cleveland Browns head coach, Rob Chudzinski, would consider changing quarterbacks and left the door open for quarterback, Brandon Weeden, to exit.
Speaking with reporters in regards to the quarterback position, coach Chud stated, “We’ll talk as a staff later on this afternoon. We’ll basically put the guys at all positions who give us...
The brief and disappointing Brandon Weeden era in Cleveland Browns football could be over.
Weeden the No. 22 overall pick in 2012 was benched on Wednesday in favor of ninth-year pro Jason Campbell 31 who will start Sunday against the 7-0 Kansas City Chiefs.
It marked the second time in three weeks that Weeden has been benched when healthy.
The first time was Oct. 3 against the...
Cleveland Browns head coach Rob Chudzinski revealed on Wednesday to the media that Jason Campbell, not Brandon Weeden, will be under center when the team faces the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday. According to a tweet from Cleveland.com’s Mary Kay Cabot, Chudzinski believes in Campbell, a 32-year-old who played sparingly (and not impressively) for […]The post Cleveland Browns announce...
WR Rankings – Week Eight
Brandon Weeden reared his ugly head and although Josh Gordon was responsible for a couple of his missed targets Weeden is a scattershot at best and will not be able to maximize Gordon’s considerable talents on a consistent basis. Gordon remains a top-20 fantasy play going forward but perhaps anointing him a borderline WR1 despite the loss of Hoyer was...
Jason Campbell gets his first start of the season this week for the Cleveland Browns(3-4) replacing Brandon Weeden. The Browns travel to Kansas City to face the Chiefs(7-0) this Sunday at Arrowhead Stadium.
Weeden has been completely ineffective as the Browns starting quarterback and now has been benched twice this season. The first time Weeden was benched it was for Brian Hoyer...
With all the flack surrounding Browns quarterback, Brandon Weeden, the last two weeks, the Browns announced on Wednesday morning, he would be benched in favor of former Raiders Quarterback, Jason Campbell. Will that decision tip the scales for Cleveland to end the Chiefs undefeated season?
Browns backup quarterback Jason Campbell will replace struggling Brandon Weeden and start on Sunday in Kansas City.
Coach Rob Chudzinski announced the decision to sit Weeden on Tuesday. Chudzinski said the choice to go with Campbell was based on ''consistency and production.'' Chudzinksi said the bottom line is that Campbell, who has made 71 career starts in the...
This week we talked about the Browns’ loss to the Packers, but we branched out a bit. We talked about Robert Redford, movie criticism and passing pop culture down generationally. We also talked about Scott Raab coming home to speak at Cleveland State and also the Happy Dog on Wednesday night at 7:30 PM with Zac Jackson as well.
Here’s the email I sent to Scott in anticipation...
This jersey is certainly disturbing for Browns fans. There is one error though. Brian Hoyer should be after Brandon Weeden.
