Former Steelers kicker Jeff Reed was back in Pittsburgh Friday and spotted down at the Steelers facility visiting a few of his former teammates earlier in the day. Gerry Dulac reported this afternoon that Reed was not in for a workout. That is not where the Reed news ends today however as Reed went to the Penguins hockey game tonight and reportedly ended up having to leave early as a buddy he was with stood on a chair, fell off, knocked himself out and was taken out on a body board by medics. Reed reportedly left with him. Steelers Choose Not To Promote WR Tyler Grisham

There was some thought that the Steelers might promote wide receiver Tyler Grisham today from the practice squad for the game Sunday against the Cincinnati Bengals with wide receivers Emmanuel Sanders and Arnaz Battle out this week, but that was not the case as Grisham did not make the trip to Cincinnati today. This means that the Steelers will only dress 4 wide receivers for the...

NFL Players Would Most Like to Play For Mike Tomlin & Rex Ryan

The Sporting News network recently did a poll of 111 players from 31 teams and asked them which NFL coach they most would like to play for. The polled players were not allowed to vote for their own head coach according to the staff report. It is not surprising that Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin finished at the top of the list as he tied with Jets head coach Rex Ryan. Both Tomlin...

LaMarr Woodley Out vs. Bengals

LaMarr Woodley has already been ruled out of the game for the Steelers on Sunday.  It will be his second straight game missed with a hamstring injury.  Even if Woodley is almost ready to play this is the best move the Steelers could make.  Let him have 3 weeks of rest and get him back on the field for the home stretch.  Woodley should return on Sunday Night Football versus the...

Benglas Look to Surprise the Steelers

Steelers/Bengals likely to be more of a battle than usual.I know it’s crazy, but these aren’t the same old Bungles we’re used to seeing year in and year out. In the past, you could always count on the Bengals to bungle their way out of a game. Steelers Ravens Week 9 Offensive Line Breakdown Report

The offensive line breakdown report from the Sunday night game against the Baltimore Ravens is now complete and I had to even do this twice because of the tremendous grades that I gave the first time through. This was by far the best the offensive line has played as a unit all season and the best against the Ravens in some time. All 5 starters scored in the 90% range and that is...
