GREEN BAY, WI - SEPTEMBER 20: Tight end Jermichael Finley #88 of the Green Bay Packers reaches for additional yardage after a pass reception against the Cincinnati Bengals at Lambeau Field on September 20, 2009 in Green Bay, Wisconsin. Green Bay Packers tight end Jermichael Finley had to be taken off the field on a stretcher after a scary hit to the head in the fourth quarter of Sunday's game against Cleveland. Finley was hit by Browns safety Tashaun Gipson while going down as he made a 10-yard reception. It appeared that Gipson was trying to hit Finley with his shoulder but could not avoid hitting Finley's head. Gipson was penalized 15 yards for unnecessary roughness. Finley was moving his hands as he was carted off the field. The Packers later reported that Finley has a neck injury but has movement and feeling in his extremities. No further word to this point as to the severity of the injury. CORRECTION: A previous version of this post described the hit to Finley as a helmet-to-helmet hit. After further review, and thanks to tips from some readers, that does not appear to be the case. The post has been corrected accordingly.  GIF via @GIFDSports. H/T LBS.
