The Pack Mentality:
Jermichael Finley suffered one of the scariest hits of the season in yesterday's game against the Browns.
The game stopped for six minutes while a stretcher was brought out to take Finley out of the game.
The good news is that Jermichael was able to regain feeling in all of his extremities. The bad news is that he's being kept in an intensive care unit until doctors give him the OK to leave. Sources say that tests have thankfully come back negative, per ESPN.
Tashaun Gipson, Cleveland's safety, was penalized for unnecessary roughness on the play and was told that he led with his helmet. For his part, Gipson denies that the hit was dirty:
"[It was] all shoulder," Gipson said. "The crown of my head did not go down whatsoever. It was a shoulder hit. I don't know the place where it hit him exactly. I just know I saw him break out of the middle. He was running a slant. I'm driving on the ball. There's a collision, and he'...

Former NFL quarterback Jeff Garcia told Bull and Fox on 92.3 The Fan in Cleveland that he’s reached out to the Browns to let them know that he’s available. “I actually reached out to the Browns and said ‘work me out, take a look, I’m open to the opportunity,’” said Garcia, via Keith Britton. I’m sure the Browns couldn’t help but laugh that 43 year-old Garcia...
You would think in his rookie debut as a head coach in the NFL, Rob Chudzinski would want to prove he can win. He came to Cleveland and he talked a good game, after all that is why Jimmy Haslam III and the team’s CEO Joe banner said they hired him. But so far, there hasn’t been much difference between Chudzinski’s Cleveland Browns and every other coach the team has hired...
Who caught your eye? Did someone stand out? Who blew it? That’s what were interested in this morning. Winners and losers.
Ugh. The Browns loss yesterday to the Packers had a familiar look to it. Which means we might struggle to find anything positive.
LOSER: Brandon Kyle Weeden. Yes, there was a point in the game where Weeden completed a few passes in a row and moved the Browns...
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, at least three teams have contacted the Cleveland Browns in an effort to trade for wide receiver Josh Gordon.
At least 3 teams have contacted Browns about deal for WR Josh Gordon; two have standing offers of a high pick and a player. Browns balking.

With the trade deadline fast approaching...
Cleveland Browns QB Brandon Weeden's short career may have hit a crossroads in today's matchup against the Green Bay Packers. If Weeden can lead the Browns to a victory, he buys himself some time, however, a loss will bring the calls for backup Jason Campbell.
Nine years ago, Jeff Garcia was the starting quarterback for the Cleveland Browns. And at that point, Garcia was considered to be old. He was 34 and beyond his prime, and he posted a shabby passer rating of 76.7 while losing eight of his 11 starts under center.
Nearly a decade later, the Browns quarterback situation is no more stable. Brandon Weeden is the NFL's third-lowest...
Darin Gantt of NBCSports reports that Cleveland Browns head coach, Rob Chudzinski, would consider changing quarterbacks and left the door open for quarterback, Brandon Weeden, to exit.
Speaking with reporters in regards to the quarterback position, coach Chud stated, “We’ll talk as a staff later on this afternoon. We’ll basically put the guys at all positions who give us...
As a local market representative and league manager of one of 16 teams invited to be a part of Crown Royal’s inaugural Fantasy Football League dubbed “First and Crown,” I will be using this spot every Sunday before the Browns kick off against their respective opponent to tell you who I’ll be watching during this Week’s contest.
This week’s spotlight shines on: Jabaal...
Here's a new wrinkle in the Browns' curious quarterback conundrum: Former NFL starter Jeff Garcia called and offered his services.
Garcia, who started 10 games for Cleveland in 2004, told 92.3 The Fan on Tuesday that he contacted the Browns and asked for a tryout. The 43-year-old Garcia hasn't started an NFL game in five years, but he informed the Browns he would love...
Yawn. Every NFL fan’s worst nightmare is reality once again in Cleveland. The team is not only bad, but a deadly combination of bad and boring. That’s my takeaway from Green Bay as the Browns failed to do nearly anything offensively all day. The Browns end up falling to the Packers 31 to 13.
It wasn’t just the Brandon Weeden-led offense. The defense started the day off poorly...
The Cleveland Browns were awarded defensive back Jordan Poyer off the waiver wire on Monday.
Poyer is a 6-0, 191-pound defensive back in his rookie season out of Oregon State. Selected by the Eagles in the seventh round (218th overall), he appeared in three games and registered two tackles on defense and one on special teams.
A consensus All-American as a senior at Oregon State,...
WR Rankings – Week Eight
Brandon Weeden reared his ugly head and although Josh Gordon was responsible for a couple of his missed targets Weeden is a scattershot at best and will not be able to maximize Gordon’s considerable talents on a consistent basis. Gordon remains a top-20 fantasy play going forward but perhaps anointing him a borderline WR1 despite the loss of Hoyer was...
CLEVELAND,OH- Reading NFL.com’s column by Dan Handzus about the comments of Jeff Garcia saying he could still play at forty-three, it’s going to open a lot of people’s eyes. He was even on NFL AM to comment and was asked about Brandon Weeden, here’s what Garcia said. “It’s funny, I actually reached out to the Browns and […]
Mike Wilkening of NBCSports reports that the Cleveland Browns claim rookie cornerback, Jordan Poyer, off waivers from the Philadelphia Eagles on Monday.
To make room for Poyer, the Browns told first-year defensive back, Julian Posey, to go agitate the gravel. Posey moseyed in only one game for Cleveland this season.
Credited with three tackles this season, the rookie Poyer played...
On Sunday the Cleveland Browns and Green Bay Packers will meet in a Week 7 contest
Few would have pegged the Browns at 3-3 but that is exactly where they stand as they face a the 3-2 Packers.
Coverage of the game between the Browns and Packers will air on CBS beginning at 4:25 pm ET from Lambeau Field in Green Bay, WI.
