Packers head coach Mike McCarthy spoke with reporters during his Monday press conference, and while the coach did confirm that Jermichael Finley remains in the hospital, he also had some really great news about the Packers tight end. Per ProFootballTalk: “He’s up and performing daily activities, and he’s in good spirits,” McCarthy said, via Jason Wilde of ESPNWisconsin.com. Whew. Things did not look particularly good yesterday for Jermichael, so it's great to hear that he's going to be OK. There is not enough information about the extent of Jermichael's injuries to even begin to speculate when he'll be football ready. According to the report, the Packers are expecting it will take a couple more weeks to even begin to put a timetable on Finley's return to the field. Of course, all of this pales in comparison to the news that Jermichael is in good spirits and able to do daily activities. Football is football, but obviously Jermichael's well being and health are the paramount concern here. We wish Jermichael a speedy recovery from his injuries!
