Day three of free agency was a bit quieter than Tuesday and Wednesday; here’s your nightly update on the Baltimore Ravens: Hits - The Baltimore Ravens was able to resign Jeromy Miles. Miles was a member of the Ravens last year after they picked him up after Cincinnati cut him. Miles mostly is a special-teamer but he also has the capabilities to play safety; a position he may see more time at this season. Misses - Former Raven Jameel McClain will reportedly sign with the New York Giants. Baltimore understood that once they cut him there was a strong possibility they wouldn’t have the opportunity to get him back. Baltimore may also lose the services of James Ihedigbo. Ihedigbo reportedly wants to sign with the Detroit Lions and that deal is all but done. Rumors - Steve Smith is the talk of the town at this point. Many experts are calling the Ravens the favorite to get him. Keep in mind he is 34 years old and history doesn’t always serve that age of a receiver well. Although If the Ravens get him at a right price then why not? It has been reported that Smith will officially meet with Baltimore tomorrow and has already arrived this evening.
