There’s no way around it–the Packers’ defense dominated the Chicago Bears on Thursday night.
Tramon Williams caught as many Jay Cutler passes (two) as Brandon Marshall, the Packers nearly doubled the Bears in total yards, and Clay Matthews had his arms wrapped around Cutler as if he were a certain cast member Laguna Beach. If not for an ugly miscommunication between Aaron Rodgers and James Jones, the Bears may not have scored more than three points all night.
Just four days prior, Alex Smith and the San Francisco 49ers sliced through Green Bay’s defense for 30 points, spoiling the Packers’ season opener at Lambeau Field. Predictably so, much of Packer Nation reached for the “Panic” button.
But the Packers’ performance on Thursday night couldn’t possibly have been more different. The Packers held the Bears’ talented offense to just 10 points and 168 total yards, while intercepting four of Cutler’s passes and sacking him seven times. Suddenly, the Pa...

Now that’s more like it!
This game had a vintage Green Bay Packers look with a stifling defensive effort, a solid running performance and a quarterback sticking the nail in the coffin at the end of the game.
The Packers defense was the stare of the game as they absolutely shut down the Bears offense. Cutler threw for over 300 yards last week, this week he only had 126 yards. ...
IT'S AN OUTRAGE!
The Packers apparently spare nobody at the ticket booth, babies included. See this family's reaction to being denied.
A stir was caused this week when respected beat writer Bob McGinn of the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel said that the Packers would be “wise” to shop Greg Jennings ahead of the trade deadline. Jennings is heading into the final year of his contract and could get the Packers a 2nd round pick, according to McGinn. Also according to McGinn, Jennings may want Larry Fitzgerald money on...
LOVIN' IT AT LAMBEAU
The first touchdown of this seasons installment of Thursday Night Football was scored by the Green Bay Packers against the Chicago Bears, and it was pretty epic.
The Packers scored the only touchdown of the first half off of a beautifully designed fake field goal attempt in which Tim Masthay popped the ball to Tom Crabtree who made all the right moves to scamper 27 yards into the...
GREEN BAY, Wis. -- In just four days, Packers wide receiver Donald Driver went from an unfamiliar role as a benchwarmer on the sideline to an area he's much more accustomed to: the endzone at Lambeau Field.Driver, the franchise's all-time leading receiver, didn't treat this touchdown like he has the 59 in his career that preceded it, either. After achieving newfound fame...
Packers' fans throughout the world were excited and relieved when Donald Driver made the agreement to return for yet another season. He has been a face of the franchise. Extremely productive, and one of the most likable people in the history of football. The fear was that he was only back for peripheral reasons. To help the young guys along and at best be a security blanket for...
GREEN BAY, Wis. -- For a game this early in the season, the Packers' Thursday night win was important for the team on many levels. It avoided an 0-2 start, didn't allow the division-rival Chicago Bears (now also 1-1) to get a decisive lead in the NFC North standings and kept the Packers from losing their third consecutive meaningful game at Lambeau Field. Handing out grades...
The Green Bay Packers rattled and robbed Jay Cutler and backup tight end Tom Crabtree scored on a fake field goal in the second quarter of a 23-10 victory over the Chicago Bears at Lambeau Field on Thursday night.
The Packers (1-1) intercepted four Cutler passes, including a pair by Tramon Williams. Facing a fierce pass rush all night, Cutler was sacked seven times, including 3...
After lining up all over the formation in week one, Randall Cobb is back at tonight vs the Bears. Nice little 28 yard run here. Could he be the Packers version of Percy Harvin? We will see. Thanks to @sbnation for the GIF.

Green Bay wideout Randall Cobb didn't have as large of a role in the offense in Week 2 despite Greg Jennings' absence. Cobb had one rush and one catch.Fantasy Spin:Cobb turned in 48 total yards on those two touches, but fantasy owners might want to hold off on starting Cobb in fantasy leagues until we see what his week-to-week role is going to be.
It's been awhile since we've seen a really good fake field goal in the National Football League but during Thursday night's Green Bay Packers/Chicago Bears game, we got one worthy of a post on this site.
Watch as Green Bay lines up for a Mason Crosby field goal late in the second quarter but holder Tim Masthay pitches the ball to back-up tight end Tim Crabtree...
There are no easy divisional games in the NFC North, and when the Bears and Packers get together there are bound to be fireworks. In this game, most of the action came from the Green Bay Packers' defense. With so many stellar performances (Clay Matthews' 3.5 sacks, Tramon Williams' two interceptions, Charles Woodson intercepts his 55th career pass) I decided to go with...
10) Packer Fan is really starting to understand the special joy that is James Jones in your laundry9) This game gave Dolphin Fan all kinds of special warm feelings about the Brandon Marshall trade8) In another half dozen games or so, the Packers might realize how getting yards from Cedric Benson isn't translating to getting points from their offense7) Jermichael Finley's...
