Before Sunday's game at Cowboys Stadium, Cowboys owner and general manager Jerry Jones chatted on the field with former Cleveland Browns president Mike Holmgren. They are longtime friends and always talk when they see each other, according to Jones. But this conversation attracted extra attention because multiple reports have surfaced over the last 10 days stating that Holmgren would be interested in coaching the Cowboys if Jones fired current coach Jason Garrett. Holmgren has denied any interest and Jones has said that Garrett is his guy. Some probably believe that Jones and Holmgren should've avoided any pregame interaction on Sunday because of the recent rumors. Jones said he thought about that, but decided there was nothing wrong with having their usual conversation. "What would've been wrong is to not have done it," Jones said Tuesday on 105.3 The Fan KRLD-FM, "because anybody that really wanted to weigh-in on it would say, 'Those guys always ...

Cleveland Browns Film Room: Game 10, Under Pressure

Like we did last year before it became fashionable, we’ll take a seat each week in our very own WFNY Browns film room and break down a little tape from the game, with a specific focus.  Do enjoy. The Browns did something really positive in Sunday’s loss to the Cowboys, and I wanted to focus on that this week. The defense was able to sack Romo seven times. That’s a nice number...

NFL News: Browns’ TJ Ward fined $25,000 as “repeat offender”

Cleveland Browns strong safety TJ Ward officially has $25,000 less to his name as the NFL levied a fine against the third-year safety for a hit which occurred in the fourth quarter of Sunday’s loss to the Dallas Cowboys. When Ward put the finishing touch on an attempted pass to Cowboys wide receiver Kevin Ogletree, the team was handed a 15-yard penalty for what was deemed a hit...

Browns handing out inflatable white flags to fans for Pittsburgh game

You can’t make these things up. Apparently the Browns are going to be handing out inflatable white flags with the Browns helmet on them for Sunday’s game. Seriously. White flags. Did someone not think this through? Here is a picture of Chomps with the giveaway. The caption was added by @FakePatShurmur on twitter- Some jokes write themselves. Browns still haven't mastered art of finish

Browns coach Pat Shurmur sounds like a broken record when he talks about his team's broken record. Once again, Cleveland came up short on Sunday in a 23-20 overtime loss to the Dallas Cowboys, who overcame a 13-point deficit by exploiting the Browns' injury-riddled secondary and taking advantage of 12 penalties, It's a familiar story for the Browns (2-8), who have lost...

Cleveland Browns to hand out "White Flags"

As if the Browns weren't enough of an embarrassment to the people of Cleveland, their latest idea is even is worse than usual. Pictures above, someone thought it'd be a good idea to hand out these white flags at this week's game against the rival Steelers. Maybe they don't know the universal meaning of "waiving the white flag"....

Josh Cribbs gets tackled by his hair

Some guys just can’t live without their long hair. I’ve never understood why wide receivers or running backs would want to have long hair, but maybe I just don’t appreciate a good set of dread locks the way I should. During the Dallas Cowboys’ overtime win over the Cleveland Browns on Sunday, Josh Cribbs was dragged down by his dreadlocks on what looked like a painful tackle...

The Sooner We Get Away From Shurmur and The Big Show, the Better

Can it get any worse here in Cleveland? I was watching another vintage Pat Shurmur-led debacle in Dallas, and all I could do is sit back and laugh. Seriously, how can you even get yourself worked up over this stuff anymore? Every week the Browns hang around just long enough to keep you interested, then fall off a cliff in the end. Spare me the “at least we are competitive” bit...

Cleveland Browns at Dallas Cowboys: Hero and Zero of the Game

Hero: Dez BryantFor the first time all season, Dez Bryant was able to put up great numbers without having an asterisk attached to his performance (*he dropped three passes, *dropped the game-tying 2-point conversion, *fumbled a punt). Bryant was un-coverable for the Cleveland secondary, finishing the game with 12 catches for 145 yards and a touchdown. Those numbers could have been...
